i would give them a call and send it back karma will come back on him for sure. He got his amp and that is what he orderd. He will prob be mad if he keeps it then down the road they just charge him for the amp.

i will be in touch when it gets closer to the show im not going to miss it this year. I might just stay up there sat and go to forth street and stop by the shop on sunday.

yeah i am going to try i usally work saturdays but i am going to get off so i can make it and i hope to have my car done by then. But you know how the life of an installer goes with there cars. I will deff be up that way for sure if i ever get a break from this damn place.

i would have a mechanic do the alt just for the simple fact that if the guy at the shop told u 2 hours with out even looking at the car and where the alt is mounted. I have been working at a shop for 2 and a half years and have done maybe 2 alts. The mechanic can do that part alot faster. But if the guy told u 300 for everything including parts that is a pretty good deal my shop would charge around 360 for labor not including parts. But if u find someone that knows what tey are doing and is willing to teach u i would do it that way.

sounds like u had a great time out there. I am still going to come up that way this spring sometime. Hopefully u will be working on a cool project with some of that amazing fiberglass work you like so much.

well it looks like the subs where in parallel but since u didnt say if they where d2 or d4 not sure. If the x marks the spot where the speaker was not hooked up one of the coils waqs not hooked up and that can cause your sub to blow. But if they are d2 they would be at .5 and if they where d4 they would be at 1ohm.

well i can try to help u out a little. I went to an audio school and am mecp certified. The thing is you are not going to just come out of school and be a pro i have been installing profesionally for about 3 years and still learn new things every day. Some schools will help u with job placement but u might want to go talk to a few shops and see if they will be looking for installers after you get out of school. I waited about 4 months after i got back to finally got a job. But i will tell u it is a lot diffrent doing it for fun and doing it profesionally. But is a fun and mostly rewarding job. There will be days you will not want to look at a car and others where u can not wait to get back to work. But hope this helps a little and if u have any other questions let me know.

yeah i work at a shop that is a dealer but we mostly just do astrostart which is a company off of directed. We have to order in the viper if we want them. But if u need any help give me a shout.

i am going to get the clifford which there is no diffrence in that and the viper. The retail on the 50.7 is 649.99 coming from the dealer sheet in front of me but u can prob get it cheaper.

directed is a company that has about 5 diffrent brands coming off of it ex. viper clifford python avital and a few other. I did a couple of the new ones and one of the ones u are looking at. It seems to be a good unit. The main thing is get it installed by a pro. Because that is half the security making sure everything is hidden to where theifs can not easily get to it to cut the siren wire or disconnect power. But u will not be dissapointed by that model.

for the chrysler they did not start making it untill 07-08 models so i dont think u can get a piece for it to do dvd while driving. The escalade started making the piece on the new body style so if u tell me what year it is i might be able to help u out more.

i know for a fact the escalades can be done if they have the factory nav. I did one the other day its called a gm lockpick i am not sure the exact company that makes it but i will find out. As for the chrysler i am not sure but i can look into it tomorrow when i get to the shop.

they are pretty badass for a nissan. I did a k-40 radar system on one not to long ago. I got to test drive it and its quick as shit.

yeah it seems like they did talk alot about the new responder and my shop pretty much just does the astrostart and clifford so i wont be using it much. we did get the new clifford and it looks pretty cool we will see how it is when it is time to put one in.

i went to the one about a month ago in louisville and it was pretty good alot of info packed into that little time. Have fun.

you should just go to the coil like stated I have to agree with shyne. I went to audio school and i learned the basics but nothing compares to being in the industry doing it everyday. Its alot diffrent. i am mecp certified and i dont think it means as muh as it used to. I am also ASE certified. I am not trying to be an ass but if u ask a question just take the info and use it to your advantege instead of saying in a nice way that you think u know it all.
