  1. I tried superglue for the coil, and now I know that superglue vaporizes. What do you mean you use popsickle sticks to support the cone?? DO you mean you used them to support the foamboard cone? I used hot glue for all my constucting, (besides the wood) but after I think about it super glue is probably more lightweight.
  2. The corners that he rounded were the "pressure points" of the box. This is where you put the pvc.
  3. Thanks for the info you could give me
  4. Yes I wound my own coils, do you know where to get this resin?
  5. Have some pics but after I tried to run 150 Watts into it the coil glue melted, threw everything away except the magnet and the magnet wire.
  6. I had a similar probel with my T3 subwoofer and after having someone look at it he told me it wasnt any rattling or a tinsel led slap after looking at it he concluded that because I may have run high pass through it a few times it had ruined the voice coil, maybe thats what happened here.
  7. I built a suboofer before out of wood for the basket, foamboard for the cone, rubber bands for the spyder, 2x2x2 inch N42 Neodymuim magnet, and an imitation leather for the surround. Now I have tried a lot of different types of glues and they all can handle around 50 Watts Rms but when I try 150 Rms the glue always fails. I really enjoy making subwoofers but I am getting nowhere because I can not find High temperature voice coil glue, so if you could show me the way to finding this type of glue that would be appreciated. Also if you have any bright ideas for my homemade subwoofer that would be great.
  8. Is there a certain spec or something that will tell you if you do or not?
  9. This is a good question I always wondered if subs need to be broken in.
