  1. Would it be possible to use some self tapping screws to secure it without it going through the roof? It's redneck, ik. But your best bet would be expandle foam, like Dustin said.
  2. Being that it's a pawn shop, I'd test it out before buying. But if all works properly, it seems like a really good deal... It's probably stolen though
  3. You've never removed the headliner... OR taken any panels off...
  4. Yes, the back wall flex is crazy. I had no deadener, but all trim panels on and the back wall still jumped out 2 inches or so when i played some decaf. IDK how hard it is to remove the headliner though. Should've pulled mine out and deadened it before i started my wall build, but I couldn't afford deadener at the time and now I cant get the headliner off... Oh well, Ill take a dremel to it if its too bad and atleast be able to deaden the front half.
  5. Just went through the whole thread on CA.com... They seem to really hate that ANT guy...
  6. Dude, with your budget, you can't really push aside all the budget brands. Go with hifonics or mb quart, or an audiopipe. Beggars can't be choosers, you get what you pay for in car audio.
  7. Yeah dude, it's not exactly anything new or complicated. Got the amp ordered (hopefully ) Just going with a cresendo bc2000 for now, then 3 more later.
  8. I highly doubt it man.
  9. For speakers, you won't notice much of a change going from, say 10 gauge to 16 gauge. That's in my experience atleast.
  10. Lol nah man, been needing to watch that show, never seen it though. Off topic. But they also have another show based in Louisiana, called "Sons of Guns". It's pretty badass, lotta cool custom guns.
  11. Congrats dude! Don't get ruffied
  12. Only if they do it on swamp people And maybe, but that's only of the trailblazer and accord need new tires
  13. Lol Matt, I'll let you know if the DC 2k is worth the extra 100$ once I get my bc2000 in.
  14. I wouldn't expect that much power out of it. Maybe 2500 at the most at .5 IMO. But we won't have subs till august. Might call my buddy over once it's here and hook it up to his DD 3515 that he bought from me. Used to run a dc2k on it, so we'll see if the cresendo compares.
  15. Fucking bad ass, too bad it won't be winning any races anytime soon I'm sure I could get that model car for a few grand, then get someone with alot of experience in fiberglass to make me that kit for at the most 50k.
  16. And yes, those would cause weird shifts. Fixed that problem on my sister-in-laws trail blazer just by changing the filter. Not o thread jack, but what problems was she having? My moms trailblazer seems to struggle to shift sometimes. I'll be getting on it when getting on the interstate, and sometimes it won't shift up when it should. Or I'll be driving through town and it'll sound like the engine rpms are high up, but under 2k rpms on dash. Seems like it just struggles sometimes. Wondering if this is the problem you experienced.
  17. Zx10intn, he doesn't mention 2 subs anywhere.
  18. What does your electrical consist of? For the price of one kicker 2500, you could almost afford two of the cresendo bc2000 amps. So even if you wire it at .5 and something happens, you can by brand new for about the same as the single kicker zx2500 and cheaper than the Fosgate BDCP. I'd only suggest running at .5 if you have great electrical though.
  19. The BDCP will probably put out a little over 3k watts at 14v. Wonder If the lvl 4 can handle that. With that being said, I'd still go with the BDCP, only because of the constant power feature. If that's not too big of an issue with you, then crescendo all the way. Wayyyy cheaper, and still a solid amp. I just ordered my first of 4 Cresendo BC2000 amps
  20. And you say it has 4000w rms. 2000x4 =/= 4000... Also, you referred to the peak of the sub, so that must mean your not used to big systems. I've never heard of the sub, so idk what power it'll take.
  21. If you can afford the RF BDCP, then it should be a no brained. Seen one for the first time earlier at local shop, wanted 1350$ for it.
