  1. I agree with this. this is a $2 fix rather than a $30 fix Yeah this is true but I like the cool little gadgets like these. U know what they say! The price of cool ain't cheap man! And I actually have to agree with you on this burban I mean go big or go home. Nothing like the wow factor and since you already had the idea go with the module. I mean think about it like this What would Scooter do .
  2. Nice find think I need to invest in one my self would be cool to have one on my civic and on my Tahoe.
  3. How much is reasonably priced?
  4. The problem you run into there is the sensitivity of it. Anytime you go into anywhere too dim to detect it the lights will just come on and off. I would just wire a switch up to the LED's and cut them on manually or splice into your headlight wire and have it come on when the headlights are on (unless you ride around with your headlights on during the day. You could always take one of those home outlet timers and convert it and make your own custom set up.
  5. I use a 32gb iPad and I love it way more than the kindle and simply because I can do everything from the tablet with no need of having a PC. I record, write notes and validate arguments all from the iPad. Plus not having to carry around a book bag is always fun. Mine doesn't distract me don't really have games or anything mine is strictly for school and work. The features of a fully functioning tablet knocks the nook or kindle out the water.
  6. I don't have much experience with them but BFF Larry on here has one and I asked his advice because I am thinking about running them and he said it was solid current hungry but solid you need the electrical to run it. Fecupe did a 1500w challenge and gave a good review of the AP1500d. One of my installers has 2 30001d's in his Jimmy and they seem solid to me. He was actually the reason I gave AudioPipe any thought at all. You can also look at AQ I think a 2200 from them is like $430 and everyone here raves about Audioque and the quality of their amps but again I have never used one first hand and can only go off of what other users have done with them. *EDIT* I am waiting on a reply from moneybags for a quote on a few sound digital amps I really want to run if you haven't found anything by then I will let you know how much he quotes me for the amps. I am looking for a 2000w amp myself.
  7. The Clifford Matrix 50.7X is $220 and the Viper 5901 is $240. Same company same alarm both really good priced on Sonic Electronix.
  8. Best I can say at 2 ohms would have to be the AudioPipe AP 30001D, you can get it from eBay or VMInnovations for around $480 does 2000w @ 2 ohms if I am not mistaken.
  9. You can get brackets and depth extenders off of sonic electronix for cheap that will allow you to put a nice set of 6.5" comps up front as for the rear fill I removed mine in my Civic but I also have 6 Speakers in my front stage. The only thing in my rear right now are a pair of tweeters mounted in the C Pillar all in all the sound is phenomenal and I got not complaints.
  10. Yeah I used this a few times really good song love J. Cole I even went and bought his CD.
  11. What are you looking for to trade the Kicker EQ?
  12. I had ample space between by door and frame to fit my 6.5" speakers and it came out pretty nice IMO. The only reason it's changing I explained above and I am also adding more speakers and want a more custom look.
  13. I didn't do glass on my doors the first time and I think it came out great but then again I am very limited on space between door and seat so I had to make it work. I will be doing pods this time around but only because I want to seal them in for a better response but cutting directly into the door won't look trashy if you do it right.
  14. Audio Controls statement is true about most LOC's the lc6i is a pretty good piece of equipment I have compared the use of cheapy ones my shop sells and the audiocontrol lc6i's I have purchased to do side projects and there is a huge difference in sound but as for the Stinger LOC mentioned I used a few different Stinger LOC's and they are pretty good units compared to the usual ones my uses. I have one in my cousins car and one in my gf's car but I haven't put the DD-1 on either yet. I will take some time out and try it and post updates when I'm done.
  15. What kind of car and are you trying to glass or are you just cutting directly into the door?
  16. My mom and her 3 sisters can all throw hands I have seen them kick some ass a few times as a child and lemme tell you mess with those jamaicans and you lose teeth all of my aunts are quick to knock a bish out.
  17. That would be a good deal for what you want if you can gather a little more Skar also has a deal with 2 10/12 and a Sundown amp for I think $650 either deal would be a good entry level step in the right direction and before you ask yes Skar is a very good brand to go with.
  18. Then how about you take a step back and give us a budget, the vehicle its going into and how knowledgeable you are in Car Audio.
  19. No one is calling you stupid but the question to ask is are you prepared for what you're asking for. A system that big has a huge price tag and you don't just dive in to something like Car Audio. I think most of us see people come one here almost everyday and post these outrageously huge systems that they are not prepared to take on. If you have done this and are ready then fine more power to you but if you are trying to go big and dive in head first then I would suggest you dial it down and chill. Think subtle system first and grow from there. I would argue your expertise in this field off the simple basis that there was another thread referenced here and Pyramid Audio was the choice of equipment thats a huge leap my friend. Some of us may get short with you but if you're serious about getting into this do your research and be smart about how you go about this BTW DC Audio is a very great brand no bullshit coming from them and def not low end.
