  1. Demos for fellow sac towners when the beast arrives?
  2. I've always kept it natural and as always hard work pays off. I just feel like that stuff imbalances stuff, rather not mess with it. Music always motivates me, have a playlist for working out and as soon as it starts my body knows its time to work.
  3. I think an ssa dcon would fit your liking. They are very affordable and don't need a lot of power to get down. You could get two and an amp for both won't kill you.
  4. You would know trust me. I tore acl and mcl in rugby
  5. Sq means sound quality whereas spl means sound pressure level. Subs aren't cut and dry nice sounding or loud. A lot of sq is subjective. My ssa zcon is very loud and I love the way it sounds.
  6. Do you want the amp exposed mounted to an illuminated sheet of plexi or the amp concealed with a plexi window with the space illuminated?
  7. thanks bro hope to get it louder in the near future. some lvl 5s with ar cones or cf if they have them tooled, and silver carbon kevlar dustcaps with 5 spiders will help Wow Ray I can't wait to hear and see that build next season. That is going to be nuts! More power on the way too?
  8. Wow ever since I've joined this forum I've seen such awesome. Things from dc. First dc system I heard was ray m's hoe banging crazy loud. Whenever I feel like upgrading, it will be dc
  9. I was.curious about this too so I pounded all the way on a two hour trip. My ears gave out before my equipment... Haha
  10. I've got a 96 camry and I have a little over 2k going to my zcon 12 firing into the cabin sealed off with zero rattle. I only have stock deadener on the car. I'm tuned low with a lot of port area so that might contribute. I feel you though I hear some guys at stop lights that are just so rattly its horrible
  11. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/51836-fs-sundown-sax-1004s/ there's one over on ssa
  12. Ok guys I have a bunch of pics taken over the last month so here's september's progress! Started off with electrical upgrades... My wire, Xscorpion ofc My new favorite wire cutting tool... until I have to get a new blade My upgraded grounds vs old Here's the old.. new big3.. Since this picture I have a dropped a d3400 i picked up from Steve Meade's shop and heatshrunk all the wiring instead of taped... ha I just got my new Alt, 320a from Quality powers, Going to drop it in tomorrow, pretty excited for that! I was rear ended at a stop light by a lady texting so that was a little speed bump during this month... That minor damage came quite close to totalling my car... smh This past weekend I began the box building finally! Have had a lot of fun with it considering it is my first box. I had a lot of planning around some tight requirement I wanted it to meet. First i wanted it tuned low, 30-31 hz and The overall height could only be 13" to fire into my cabin sealed off from the trunk. I have this arch that spans the cutout of my trunk pass through so it would cover part of a slot port. I bought some 4" aero's to deal with that. I used this calculator http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 which gave me a minimum of 50 sqin's so 4 4" ports worked perfectly. Fitting those four fours and a 12 in a box 13" high was a bit difficult and I know i broke some rules on this box, but here it is... about 3.2x ish net tuned between 31-32 hz. Can't make straight cuts without a 50lb kettlebell right? Tight fit, but made it! Wish I had a router for all these circle, burned through a nice blade on my jig Phew, it fits! Put some coves in Little bedliner front finish, cheap but I like it Here's where things get a little funky, but I had fun with it. Little different but my port were hard to tune for my space, but i pulled it off.... haha I just put the bolt terminals in the back plate last night, might finish it up tonight after classes, f night classes ha cant get much work done. Probably will finish the box up tomorrow after work. I'd love to drop the alt in too! Thanks for reading though all these guys, I've had a lot of fun with my first box so far, I'm very interested to see how it sounds!
  13. Man Steve, sure looks clean. Bet it rides even cleaner! Did you get your plate passed??? haha
  14. The angle of the car and plane doesn't really match up but looks awesome
  15. no budget for now, rap and 98 subaru legacy gotta have mad window flex lol Budget will be pretty important as there is a lot to buy starting fresh. I'd recommend looking at.some member build logs and find something interesting and achievable. Do a lot of research about the different components of an audio system and different brands according to your needs.
  16. Nice ray, haha. Most likely that will suit his goals too.
  17. What is your budget? What types of music do you listen to? What kind of car do you drive?
  18. But what about this, lets say i have a pair of components rated at 150rms and my amp puts out 200 rms at 4 ohm. Is the dd the wrong tool for this situation?
  19. Hey guys fairly new to the scene but without further ado my camry's build. Been delayed for a while been saving bits of each paycheck for a while and still need parts! I get payed on weds and on the shopping list is two batt's, g34 and g31, deadener, a little more wire, box building essentials and ill be diggin in! Something interesting i stumbled upon was Del City's wire soldering kit. I bought some to try it out and it works f'in awesome! At first i was soldering my wire the normal way but was never really very satisfied and always had trouble fully wicking the wire. But man this kit gave me a damn near perfect fusion... Here it is, check it out. Its affordable as hell too! I bought ring terminals, heatshrink, solder slugs, wire loom, switches, etc from them for a very affordable amount. delcity.com idk if this is against the rules for something like advertising, I'm just sharing what worked really well for me. old school video haha
  20. Very clean man! Any future plans? Welcome to the forums I'm pretty new myself
  21. I always wondered how this worked but never looked into it. When trying to understand it I assumed it has to be in some sort of active setup with some sort of logic chip analyzing the freq's of the music. For example, if the output freq was say 30-60 hz the led would be powered etc. That device doesn't explain it, but I just figured that's how it worked.
