I have a friend who can do this too. You just have to know what you are listening for. Just go to a shop, they are going to know what they are doing. Everyone talks crap about shops but if they are in business they might be at least doing something right. lol Normally shops have the equipment to tune amps. Also the shop near me is really cool. They are a DC dealer and have a DD-1 along with a couple of O-Scopes. They are down with SMD too. haha WINNING

I wouldnt think the engine would provide any extra noise that would be enough to throw off the DD-1 but it might i guess. edit: i'll have to remember this when i go to use mine on my amp when my recones come in.

No I started at Track 3 then went to Track 7. The gain for Track 7 was lower than what the gain was for Track 3 and that was after the popping sound. I went back to Track 3 after and the gain was even lower than what it was the first time I set it with Track 3 Eh my bad i got the tracks backwards...but i got the point right Actually the man himself told me to do it with the car not running, so the DD-1 wouldn't pick up any noise introduced into the system with the car running (ie. engine noise). well then i guess i cant be right. haha

I need to sell my JL 12"w3v3-2 its in great condition. 10/10 mechanically and Looks brand new. Havent played this woofer in a while its been sitting in my house for a while and i need some money right now. Also have the grill guard for it it has some scratches and tiny dents (from pulling them in and out of my trunk) that i can throw in for free. i dont know about the popping sound. but i do know that if thats where that amp distorts at then thats where it distorts at. It may sound not as loud but its gonna be cleaner and safer.

i had a DC 1.2k on my lvl 3 for a while and it did fine. With all the gain set fairly low and stock electrical but still. i may have been sending 700 to it easy.

im a DC nuthugger. lol... so i say get the DC lvl 4s. but all of those brands will be great for you. ps. im about to be running 2 lvl 4s.

If you need 5000watts dont get a 3.5k just to save some money and hope it puts out that much just because someone else said they got that much out of it. Everyone's electrical is different and with box rise and every other factor that you have to consider you cant just assume your gonna get a certain amount of power out of an amp that is not rated at. if that makes sense. Just get what you need and hope for some more. Just my thoughts... And thank you for your thoughts. i didnt mean that to be an attack on you. lol... just make sure you take into all of those things when trying to find out how much power you need.

it would look good. but i would suggest Sundown 8" v.2s or DC lvl 2 8s. They are both great beastly subs.

well i think i am. CJ can vouch for my personality i think. And DTrain13 is one of my good friends he can vouch for me. But it all would depend on if i get a job this semester. lol... I will let you know if i can or cant. But dont hesitate to sell to anyone else. ha. I will PM you when i figure it all out.

I have these RCAs too and they are really tight. I guess im just a little more carful than you when pulling them off of the amp. lol... jk But yeah most/all Knu RCAs are tight light that, as far as i have seen.
