  1. Im gonna re measure when I get out of work. Im just gonna take the seat out instead of building over it. I know I can get like 36-38 depth if I do that. Maybe more.
  2. Thanks for the help. Do you happen to have a simple sketch up of what that would look like and you think id be ok with 5.5 cubic feet?
  3. Sorry forgot to add that I was wanting to do subs up port back. And my max width I could do is 31 and the outside diameter of those subs are 15.5 so ill be right up to the edge.
  4. well after deciding between 1 18 or 2 15s i decided to go with the 15s. im going to be going with obsidians. i need help designing a box because everytime i try to design one i cant get the port area/foot high enough. max dimensions are 16 height ( only about an inch above the window line) 31 width and 32 depth. its going into a 2000 civic hatch back. im flipping the seats down and building over the seats . id take them out but incase for some reason i ever need them back ill just have to remove the box. also wanting to do a removeable port for comps. i can go a little bigger on the depth but want to keep it around 32. thank you for any help!
  5. Yea I kinda just bought it so I don't have to worry about it when it starts to go. Deffinetly gonna ride this one out as long as I can
  6. Yea a read alot about that. I ordered a stage one and the lighter flywheel. Figured since I plan I keeping the car I mine as well do both. Gonna save up for a few weeks and get the cold air intake and some headers.
  7. Id do a new box before anything else. You'd be surprised
  8. Thanks for the responses guys. And the apexi exhaust came with the car that's why I got that already. Im thinking about getting a lighter flywheel and stage 1 clutch.
  9. alright thanks. lol im still pretty new to all this performance and honda stuff. only had the car for about 2 weeks
  10. ok so the ebay kit is a no go then lol. im pretty much wanting better throttle response and a little bit more tone out of my apexi exhaust but not trying to break the bank either. should i just wait to save up for a cold air intake? or just get the short ram for the time being and then sell it when i upgrade? and how hard is it to install a cai? any drilling holes to make it go into the fender/ bumper area?
  11. i was looking into getting an intake for my 2000 civic hatch but my boss is saying that installing a short ram intake is going to harm my engine a little bit because its still sucking in hot air. is this true? will it suck in that much more hot air compared to the stock intake? or would i be better off getting some ebay cold air intake kit and then buying a nice filter for it? or if the short ram wont cause any harm get like an aem short ram? thanks for any responses and advice!
  12. I've made 3 boxes so far and have the wood for the 4th and 5th now. Best thing to do is get your pieces cut a few inches bigger on both dimensions and cut it down yourself. That's what I do and it works great!
  13. Alright thanks guys! Ill check out that site! And I already have a cat back exhaust because it came on the car. Its apexi. Maybe I should finish up the rest of the exhaust. And a cai would give my car a better sound too wouldn't it? Have you guys noticed a difference putting one on?
  14. What's going on guys! Just bought a new car, a 2000 honda civic dx hatch back. This is my 2nd car and first honda! Also my first 5 speed . Well im looking to do some easy mods to it. Already looking into a cold air intake, some headlights and tail lights. Stuff like that. So im wondering. What sites do you guys use for your car parts / honda parts? Im new to the honda scene and just looking for advice and a trustworthy site. Like an audiosavings for honda stuff lol. Thanks in advance for any websites and advice!
  15. Make sure your wired to 2 ohms but even at 2 ohms your only getting half the power.
  16. X2 on those jvc gummy ones. I've owned a few pairs. Used to bmx bike with them and wouldn't fall out. I use them at the gym also. They get loud too!
  17. hey guys finally got around to taking another video of my setup. i wanted to carpet the box black but ive been busy making other people boxes and im selling my car in a week or two so its not on my priority list lol. camera doesnt really pick up flex all that well. this is the first ported box ive ever owned and made. tell me what you think! feedback is appreciated ! good or bad, i can handle it
  18. I bought some of the cadence 1/0 and a few swipes of a razor blade will take the copper right off. But still not bad at 27 dollars for 17 feet!
  19. Count pyramid in that list too. My girlfriends little bro bought a "1000" watt amp. It had a 20 amp fuse and in the book it said it did 35 watts rms but all over the amp and box it says 1000 watts so that's what got him. The amp was also half the weight of a headunit lol
  20. I personally would go with the two ported. Just make sure you have enough room to fit a box to specs. And what subs do you currently have?
  21. I've got 1500 rms (aq1200 and my 4 channel ) total and im on stock electrical with one of the smallest car batteries and its 450 cca. Voltage doesn't drop below 14 while driving and I think the lowest it hits idle is 13.6 . In other words im assuming your truck has a beefier electrical than my japanese tin can of a car to be able to handle it. Big 3 and a nice battery and you should be just fine
