  2. The Forester is more of a crossover..drives like a car 2.0T.. There are shows..itz mostly drift and performance related from what I hear..but there are comps...its a matter or getting with the right people to know when and where.. Wich I have not done yet.. Im either working or messing with my car.

  7. Adding a Singer alt very soon... (thanks to Mike for getting back with me so quickly) I'm sure my car will thank me.. Much sound deadening to do but had to try out the Skar 4.5k. I was worried the XL's would be starved for power but the amp defiantly gets them moving.
  8. i was just playin with my comment towards bre2ts.. i've come along way listening to his advice.

  16. misunderstood.. now I'm with it thanks moving the port like matt said making it an L shape should never change the tunning or air space your doing something wrong like i said if you keep it the way it is you will be robbing yourself of some serious output you have a 5.5 port opening make sure there is at least 5.5 inches of opening everywere on the port from all the walls you do want to be loud right?
  17. net volume goes way up to 14.10 and tuning drops to 23.73.? and I'm aiming for 32hz and at or just under 12 cubes..
  18. i lose one inch in the port entrance.. because i want consistent surface below subs.. not a fair trade?? ..unless your saying the 45 will eat another 1 1/2"??
  19. Why would these numbers not match?? Sub placement is not in the equation and the area is the same...
  20. thanks all for the input will play with numbers a bit tonight and see if I can't equal up the port entrance. as far as port bracing.. there will be an .75 along near and far sides that the port will sit on.. i was concerned with turbulence in the port area using the dowels.. it will be .75 birch.
  21. you looking at width.. the port runs length wise.. gap is 4.5" so lost an inch. I was trying to keep the area directly bellow the woofers a consistent flat surface. no sure if it really matters though
  22. you sir are getting old.. but it really wouldn't be smart to tear a new one of those up...nice rides. i have a 11 Edge back in the states and love it
