  1. Pretty good looking boat you have there, haha What year is it?
  2. My parents were friends with a guy that owned a local greenhouse that was like a block away from the high school. Before I could drive, I'd walk over there after school and work. I think the main things are to be on time (dependable), and don't screw around. If you get your boss to know that you're a good worker and dependable, they might give you a raise, or even put in a good word to other business owners. And OP, I'm from Havre, haha
  3. I've been addicted to super slow stuff lately, it freaks my friends out! lol
  4. Cheap and high quality don't normally go hand in hand....but I'm definitely a fair person. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I have faith that you are a very fair guy, and do top-notch work.
  5. Just come up with something that can be made cheap, easy, and everybody wants one! haha But yeah, show us what you can do!
  6. wrong man do the math lol 2x18= 36 4x12=48 LOL!!
  7. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?Size=5%2522%2520x%25207%2522&_sacat=14936&_dmpt=Car_Speakers&_sop=15
  8. Thanks for your help! I think I'm gonna go with a different style dome tweeter after these suggestions though. And I have a home theater setup with the sub and everything now, I just wanted some better speakers.
  9. So with this kind of crossover, is it the same as like a car speaker crossover, where you put in a 4 ohm woofer and 4 ohm tweeter and get a final load of 4 ohms? Except in this case, it would be 8 ohm speakers, and a final load of 8 ohms.
  10. So I could wire the speakers to the crossover like that and be safe for an 8ohm amp? Thanks for the amp suggestion too, I think I'll look around at some local pawn shops and see what they have, and if I don't find something I like there, I'll really consider the one you suggested
  11. Is this right? The larger circles are the mids (4 ohm- wired in series to 8 ohm) and the smaller circle is one 8ohm tweeter. Would the final load be 8 ohms?
  12. Oh, and how would I wire the speakers to a crossover like this? http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=260-198
  13. Thanks for the advice, guys. I'll think about doing the 2 way crossover, depending on how much I spend on the stuff.
  14. For a crossover for the tweets, would this: http://www.parts-exp...tnumber=266-474 work? Would I need any kind of low or high pass filters for the mids? Also, would I need 1 crossover per tweeter, or could I use one crossover for a pair of tweeters, as long as the crossover can handle the power?
  15. So about the stereo receiver, could I get the 4 ohm mids, wire each pair to 8 ohms? Then how would I go about wiring in the tweeters (Also 8 ohm)?
  16. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=275-070 How about these? And Kranny, what kind of alternative would you suggest? I don't need crap loads of power, it's a small room, lol
  17. Ok, I'll look into some other tweeters, and I belive the minimum impedance of the amp is 2ohm/channel
  18. Ok, I want to use 4 Crescendo mp6's and 2 xst2s Super tweets in my college dorm room. These will likely be going in my truck when I get out of college. I was looking at this amp to power them (but am open to suggestions) : http://www.parts-exp...310-304&scqty=1 The 6's come in either 4 or 8 ohm, and the tweets only in 8. So my question is, should I get all in 8 ohm, and wire them like so; or get the mids in 4 ohm, and wire them like so to two of the channels, then wire the 8 ohm tweets to the other two channels? Also, should I band-pass the mids? If so, what would be the best way to do this? And for the high-pass for the tweets, can I just use something like this: http://www.parts-exp...tnumber=266-474 ? I am open to any and all suggestions/opinions Thanks for any help, and if I left out any information, please ask.
  19. Alright, thanks. I'll give it a shot when I get done with classes.
  20. I just found a Pioneer SA-1290 amplifier in a garbage can by my dorm. It powers up, and the little eq goes to the music. I plugged in my headphones and I could hear the music, but it was very quiet. I don't have any speakers to test those outputs. Are there any tests I can do to see if there's output (all I have is a DMM), or does anyone have a suggestion of what might be wrong? Thanks for any help, if I can't get it working I'll just toss it back in the trash.
  21. I don't have ac, so windows down in summer is pretty much required. I prefer that anyway, would have them down all the time if it wasn't for these damn Montana winters
