  1. A 2 year warranty was $10 or something like that but I pass it up. They raised the price on that model to $30..some people complained that it doesn't cut straight.. maybe its a hit or miss? idk.. i just checked out home depot's online website and i can get a black & decker one for the same price.. i've used black & decker before and they seem like solid tools so maybe i'll go with that.. thanks alot for the help tho
  2. Thanks! thats a good idea too.. i love this place.. i get lots of help off this forum.. i think ill just save myself the time and hassle and get the jigsaw Scott Hughes has
  3. o wow.. $25 is cheap! i thought those things were like $150 lol.. is it good tho? i like to buy things that i can handle some wear.. specially tools.. but for $25 doesnt seem like i can go wrong! lol
  4. LOL even if i use a fine tooth blade and then sanded it down with like 100 grit?
  5. o wow.. i don't have a jig saw tho.. would a reciprocating saw like this work? http://www.dewalt.com/tools/saws-reciprocating-saws-dw311k.aspx
  6. lol damn.. i was trying to avoid things that were bitches! i wanted to build the new box myself tho since everything in my car has already been done out of a shop lol
  7. how do you guys make the cutout for your enclosures? is there a way to do it without a router?
  8. yeaaaaaaa..... definitely not gonna mess with that.. lmao
  9. I think this would make a great window decal sticker.. maybe you can make a few?
  10. thanks.. this sounds safer than pooling the wd-40 on it.. but i dont think i want two black ones loll
  11. Good point. Or any type of paint remover should work. You could also tape off the sub and just cut out around the DC and paint it silver. Done that one a few time. i think ill try taping off the sub and painting it.. do you know of any type of chrome spray paint?
  12. I didn't know that.. that's good to know but i don't think i'd do that.. i like the silver better than the flat black for some reason lol.. i don't really want to take the chance of wetting the woofer and messing it up lol
  13. You can be sure that i will NOT try to mess with it lol.. i'm not looking to mess up the coil at allll
  14. lol thanks for double checking.. it's great to have someone looking out for me. I actually do have a D2 subwoofer. Right now it is wired down to 1 ohm. I am not sure if the amp i have is .5 stable or if my electrical is. But i will not take that chance anyway. I will wire it to 2 ohms until I get a better amp. Thanks for the help about the dustcaps.. I have a couple more questions now tho. Will adding the dome dustcap on top hinder the performance of the sub? If not how much do the dustcaps run? It will most likely be the regular silver dustcaps. I have never heard of CA glue remover.. but if CJ says that the dustcap can't be removed without messing up the coil then i rather take his word for it and not try it LOL thanks =) it is a pretty sweet deal
  15. i would say to use the same rca wire that it broke out of then put some silicon or some kinda glue on the inside where the pin goes on the wire then push it back into the rca input.. but be careful not to get any glue on the terminal.. then let it dry and pull that bitch back out! when this happened to me i used some pliers.. nd then it happened again and i used the wire and got it out.. then switched to new wires
  16. i have no idea CJ.. it looks like the flat one to me.. but you're the expert! so here's the link to the subwoofer that i'm looking at! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/145239-sale-updated-dc-skar-xs-look/
  17. Hey guys, i'm looking into buying a m2 dc lvl 4 12 off of a forum member.. i already have one with the silver DC dustcap but the one I am buying is black.. i was just wondering if there was a way to change the dustcap color with out having to do a full recone.. and how expensive/ what things will i need if i can do it myself.. thanks guys
  18. Also to the OP, do some reading up on the Mids & highs part of the forum. You will find MANY reviews about the PWX's within the first 25-30 posts.
  19. CHris Hammer is right.. you definitely need more than a headunit to power the crescendos..i own the pwx 6.5's and they're great but i am pushing 90 watts rms to each and they scream! However it IS only mid ranges so you DO need tweeters with these.. the coaxials will do you better if you dont have them amped.. it really depends on what you plan on doing.. pm me if you need to know more bout the crescendo's as this thread most probably will be shut down soon.
  20. yea he's right.. what i meant was set it on the loudest volume on your head unit but i think it came out wrong.. follow Dtowndubzz first post and you should be gooood
  21. yea.. anytime you tune your system you should always have it at the loudest you would ever play it and then set it on the amps to the point right before it distorts.. the bass knob would then give you the freedom to give or take more or less bass to fit your needs.. i love mine! saves me from having to get my fat ass out of the car to go to the trunk or spend time scrolling through my menu loll
  22. he's right.. i dont think theres different types of bass knobs.. i may be wrong.. but i've never heard of any other kind and i do a lot of research
