  1. They sell on ebay... I don't think its a drop-in recone but one that has to be assembed. I'll go look right now for one.
  2. red=positive black=negetive Just wire up to to battery or the amplifier; positive to positive and negetive to negetive. Then calibrate with DMM.
  3. Need more info.... Sub configuration, dimensions?
  4. Blowing subs always sucks but learn and learn I guess... But 154@29hz is super impressive though!
  5. Well how far internally does it go into the box? How far is the port away from the back wall?
  6. r u using a external aeroport? I think you need more port area if you are getting port noice.
  7. Stinger volt meters are nice and as for another run of 1/0, since you are only going to be running 2k rms, you don't need more than 1 run of positive so you should just make it a negetive run.
  8. How many cubes is the box? Also what ratio are looking for? typicaly you will want to tune between 45 and 50 hertz. With the port area part, I usually go with 18 sq in of port per cube.
  9. I will try to word this the best I can here... When you hook up the stinger volt meter to the amp,do you use a different length of wires to read that voltage than what you would use to read the battery. Like you use a 5 foot wire to read battery and then a 12 foot wire to read amp? Because if you use a different lengthed wire then you will have to calibrate indivisually each time otherwise the voltmeter will not be accurate.
  10. Well then your going to have to build a new box because there is no way to change the tuning of the slot port. Should have checked the tuning before you built it.
  11. First of all you have wayyyy to much port area. You have 192 sq inches of port area with a 9 cube box. which mans you have close to 21" of port per cube. Thats close to double what you need. Make port smaller and your tuning will go down dramtically.
  12. For 1 18, it looks like its digging deep into the lows. Does the mayhem get hot at all with that 4500+ rms amp?
  13. No, no, no.... You would want more speakers in your front stage especially since your wanting to do a wall.... I think you should do some more reserch and look at some other people setups first before you start putting money into your car.
  14. I never thought so many people would start all these builds for 4 15" skar vvx's. I just bought mine about a month ago and they have been sitting in my closet for 2 weeks waiting for my amps. I'm puttng then in a wall in my jeep wrangler. It's a 10 cube box tuned to 29 hertz going to be powered by 2 crunch gp3000-d's strapped. That makes 4 of us!
  15. Well if you would get 10 of the ones I mentioned then you will will have to have like 20 midbass drivers to keep up with the tweets. And that many tweets would just be super harsh for your ears.
  16. You can get just like 2 cresendo super tweeters and you will be set on highs. Plus the Cresendo XSt2's are only $20 each and sound soooo much better than those cheap ass pyramids.
  17. Well 4 6.5" tweeters would be a little too much for just hearing over the exhaust
  18. Thats way more than needed. I think your ears will literly start bleeding!
  19. Defiently doesn't take mids 150's to start losing breath or feeling the bass in your chest. I remember when I first was getting into audio, I sat in a blazer that was doing a 148 with 2 12's in a 4th order. It had me struggling to breath....
  20. I personally would just keep the MB Quart and beef up the eletrcical.
