  1. Installing ram is very simple, pop the cover off by unscrewing the screws on the bottom of the laptop and then remove the old sticks and insert the new ones. If i was you I would go with crucial brand ram, their cheap and great ram.
  2. I love my DD-1 and CC-1. The DD-1 helped me figure out that one of my RCA channels was blown out.

  7. So I know that Sonic Electronix is not an authorized Alpine Dealer so the manufacturers warrenty is garbage. I'm plaining on buying some Alpine Type-X's from you guys in a couple of weeks or so and I want to buy the SquareTrade warranty with it. My question is does the warranty cover me from day one or would I have to wait until the manufacturers warranty is over for the SquareTrade warranty to come into effect?
  8. I bought into kenwood's lineup, i don't remember the model nuber but it was 100 watts x2 and it pushed two 10 inch kenwoods in a bandpass box.

  10. I've tried to set the subsonic filter on my amp the way the manual instructs me too. Each time I have tried to do so I turn the Subsonic Filter all the way up passed the 28Hz point "Where I wanted to set my Subsonic Filter" and the CC-1 still displays a down arrow indicated that the CC-1 wants me to turn the Low Pass Crossover down to meet the 28Hz frequency. So basically when I hit the read button the top arrow lights wanting me to turn down the Low Pass Crossover instead of displaying an up arrow to indicate that I have to turn the Subsonic Filter up to meet desired frequency. Am I doing something wrong or is this just a "BUG"? Any suggestions?!? If its a BUG then I would suggest - to enter into the Infrasonic read mode you would have to have the probe pluged in and you hold down the read button until the Calibration lights iluminate indicating you have enter the Infrasonic mode - and then proceed to set the Subsonic Filter.
  11. (MY SETUP IS BELOW) So I started the distortion test on my head unit and found that one of my RCA outputs was bad so I had to replace the Line Output Converter. After replacing the LOC I found that my head unit clips at 26/32. Then I went to set my bass amp, set all the settings on the amp like the manual specified and started to turn up the gain on the amp and immediately it found distortion somewhere before the first notch mark. That's not even 1/28 of the way up. Not to mention that the DD-1 only detected a signal and not the 40Hz yet. So I shot down to the Best Buy and bought a Kicker DX10001 amp to see how that stacked up against the Alpine and to no avail I ended up with the same result only this time I was able to turn up the gain a little more then the Alpine amp. Has anyone experienced this with any of there amps? I eventually had to set everything up by ear "once again" until i can afford an oscope to insure there is no clipping. I went to Alpines' website and somewhere it states that with there new technology it lowers the amount of distortion i.e. their claim is they have distortion within their product. Anyhow, my suggestion to anyone who decides to by an amp is stay far away from Alpine and Kicker Amps and invest a couple more dollars on some quality products.
