I got mine back around Christmas time after a cheap set that I got quit working after 7 different ballasts I had enough and bought their 5,000K Slim 55w model.... Always fire up even when its really cold, nomore flickering and randomly shutting off. Great set I like mine and they didn't break the bank.

I was feeding mine 1500wrms++ and never got smelly ever... I would not put 2kwrms on one though...

The motor is much larger on the XL also the polevent is much smaller on the XL

That guy is a dbag... I always see comments by him on other ppls videos saying how DD is so great and nothing can touch a DD.... I like DD and all but hes about as bad as the JL nuthuggers.... IMO to each there own... So I think I'll pass on watching a dbags videos... Not trying to be disrespectful either.

With a gap that tight I would be astonished if it made it through a bassrace run...any coil rock and that thing is toast....but it made for burping anyways. With no vented polepiece and a gap that tight....thing has to have a ton more motor strenght

You'll love this stuff if you have a blazer for sure....they are flex and rattle traps with any system in it..... Helped my system out a great deal and made my lows a good bit better.
