The head unit controls the alarm system, door chimes, etc. So if you remove it, you have issues unless you get the correct harness. It comes with a small control box to take care of all those functions for you. So basically chevy royally A$$ raped you

Well my cadillac is just sitting for the winter time until summer comes around so I can put the new front clip on and get it painted, so I go out once a week and start it up just to keep it all lubed up and the battery charged. Well I went out yesterday (-5 degrees burr cold) and I started it up, I accidently swipped the wiper button and there was ice on wipers and they didnt move I turned it off as soon as I heard the windhshield wipers try to move and was thinking AW SH!T, now I removed the ice and the wipers wont work.. did I burn the motor up with the 2 seconds it was on? or is there just like a relay or fuse somewhere that burnt?
