  1. Thank you very much!! Whatever score you put up, remember!!!, learn all that you can from it!! It will benefit you so much!!! Hope you do well!! Oh yeah, if all you do is learn one thing, you did extremely well. Seriously. thank you for your congrats. And best wishes for you in the comp. Don't get it twisted man, mid thirties isn't a joke. Know that you cause permanent hearing damage at a sustained 100db's much less a 130. LOL!!! 130 isn't something to balk at. Whatever you put up, do your best and learn as much as you can. Please let me know about the comps in topeka!! I know someone who resides near topeka. He actualy won the iasca novice world championship in 1998 I believe. Please keep me updated!! PM me if you have to and put me on as a friend if you can or something like that. I would love to compete there. Actually, I would love to just go there, much less compete. But if you are gonna be there, let me know. I would love to show up and hang out with another smd member!!! Seriously, let me know so we can kick it!!
  2. And thank you for the congrats. And I was serious about the "right". It's very true. It might just be the newbie bug, but mobile audio has been a passion of mine for years!!!! thanks man!!
  3. I have been into mobile audio for 12 years now and finally got to compete for the first time!!! I honestly did not know how things were run from the competitors side. I did not know what class I was supposed to run in, but the usac guys helped me out. I ended up just running in the local comp just wanting to know what I was hitting. I literally was the only person running sealed in the spl comp and I still took home a 3rd place trophy in the spl trunk class. I hit a 146.3 for third and was only .5 away from taking second. But really what counts is that I had alot of fun and learned alot from it. Big thanks go out to all that gave me any advice here at smd, and to all the guys at usac, nw audio, and max speed and sound!!!! Hope to see some people at future comps!!! Joseph P.S. Did not get any video at the comp but will have video and pics of the system up on videos soon.
  4. roscoe!!! I have no clue who you are or the benz you are talking about, but that was my first event that I have ever went to and competed. I live, literally, 12 minutes south from there. Wish I would have seen this, I would have hooked up and chatted with a fellow smd member. I see hella posts by you and would have really liked some pointers. Anyways, we should hook up at the next meet if your gonna be there. Any good advice is needed. Joseph
  5. I am running 2 15's kove armageddon kmg-15's in 2.25 cubes per sub sealed in my sunfire with 1000 on each sub. I plan on getting metered this weekend if I can get everything put in before the meet here in kc/independence on sunday the 8th. The guys at the shop say I will hit 150 which I TOTALLY do not think I will hit. But I will post and let you all know what I hit if everything gets in as planned. Oh yeah. trunk sunfire with seat down, subs facing rear. That is what the setup will be. in the next comp, I will be running 3.98 cubes per sub before displacement with 46 sq" of port area tuned to about 35-40 hertz, audio enhancers enclosure, sitting in the back seats with the seats up. might hit 150 then. Any opinions, please let me know!!!! thanks much!!!
  6. I will have to take that all slow. I have no clue. With time though, I will learn.
  7. thank you guys very much. stephen, when I get a hold of an o-scope, I am gonna need to know how to use it. I want one to ensure no clipping at all, but till then, the rms chart is all I got. Well, now the math equation in case the chart is not available. Thank you very much guys!!!
  8. if someone has the link or knows the person that has the link in their signature for the rms voltage chart, please paste the link in a response for me. I greatly appreciate it!!!! Joseph
  9. ok, call me slow, but I have a question. Between what? and do I need to load pictures onto imageshack.us or whatever to get it to show? Basically, I am saying, huh?
  10. I don't even know how to post a pic!!! someone please let me know how to post a pic. It would be a great help to me. Thank you.
  11. where do you get your cables? I can't even find a 2/0 cable in kcmo. Not even "custom" shops mess with cable that big. Please let me know. Thanks. Joseph
  12. That's cool shite!! Logan's even the last one in the vid. Much props to you meade!! Logan, keep poundin!! Joseph
  13. here's my email. [email protected] if this makes any difference, my engine is a vin #4 not an "F". When I go to the parts store, they ask me what vin # I have. I don't know if it makes the difference in the alt or module, but I have that plug you have shown. Please send me info on how to get a module. Thanks very much. Joseph
  14. I do have that plug. There are four male pins. So the cs130d will mount right up to the stock location? Do you have any clue where I can get a high output cs130d? the only place that I found a 200amp alt for my car was highoutputalternator.com, and it was not a cs130d. I need a cs130d in at least a 200amp, if not, more. My system alone will draw 200amps. thank you for your help. Joseph
  15. How can I get a missing link, and how does it work? Do I need to do anything to my stock wiring or what? Please let me know. I am going to upgrade my alt to a 200 amp H/O alt and I believe my stock regulator for my 02 sunfire is set for 13.8 volts. I know I want 14.4 for sure. Let me know. Thank you very much. Joseph
  16. meade!! you know anything about kove kmg-15 armageddons and what size enclosure/port area. I have 2 and need some help. Have posted a few threads but nothing truly solid. Holla back.
  17. SSSSSSSSSIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! I give you all the props in the world man!!! That shite slams!!!! Keep poundin man. I know you will.
  18. thank you so much. I will do that!!! I have needed someone who knows alot about kove for a while now.
  19. I have 2 kove armageddon kmg-15's and I have no clue what size enclosure to build for them. I don't have any specs. The were built in 1998 I believe and the only thing I have is that they are rated at 1000 watts rms. That is it. I don't know if anyone knows what size enclosure to put them in but I would love to do one of each. 1 sealed for sq and 1 vented for spl. Please if anyone knows any way to get me numbers on enclosures and what would be the best size for sealed, and whether 2 seperate chambers and then the size and port area and tuning for vented, I need help. Please if someone has resources that I don't please help!!!! I have been able to find nothing on the net about them. They are simply kmg-15. I have 2 of them. They were made before the kmg-x or kmg-u or the kmg-k. Anyone, please help!!! I have posted before about this but not in here. I also think I recognized kove 15's in one of the builds that meade was taking out. I don't know if he know about them but he is probably hella busy and I need help. Thank you!!!!!
  20. check out my signature with all my equipment. I run all hertz mids and highs hi energy series and I am very, very, satisfied!!!! Here in kcmo I know that the hertz milles run a list price of $1000 for a pair of 6.5" component sets. Just 1 pair. I know that is list, they retail for less. But I have heard them personally and just like the other person said, they are incredible!!! But the hi energy series is absolutely phenominal too. I truly, in my own opinion, believe they outperform jl, mbquartz, and boston. They are incredible!!!! I am only runing 1/2 the rms power to them too. About to change that and truly bring them to life but if anyone ever has a chance to experience hertz, do it. Also, audison builds hi end amps and they are affiliated with hertz. Check them out. The vrx1.500 is a 2000 watt singe channel class ab amp. INSANE!!!!! I just bought one to run my subs. The current draw at a measured 2000 watts at 1ohm is only 149 amps. That is amazing!!! I don't sell the equipment at all, but I do run the equipment and love it. Check them out. Its worth it.
  21. Hertz mids and highs. Go with high-energy components whether 5 1/4 or 6 1/2, go with the bigger if you can, they are awesome!!!! I listened to alot of stuff before I decided on what I got and I am happy, thats just my own opinion. And don't skimp on an amp or wiring, good quality makes total difference. Check them out if you can.
  22. That sounds like some sic equipment. Check out my signature-list of equipment. All high energy mids and highs for front and rear, and the vrx1.500 for my 15's. Gonna take out the 6x9's and run the e4300 bridged to the front components to really bring them to life. And also to prevent the 15's from hurting the 6x9's. I need enclosures or something built for them (6x9s). You got any ideas at all about what I can do with this system? I would love to learn and really have an awesome sounding system. Any input helps. Thanks!!!
  23. does anyone have a link or directions on how to use an o-scope to see if the amplifier is clipping. I want my equipment to last. Please and thank you for anyone and everyones time.
