Hey guys I just finished my build with 4 level 4 15's. Im trying to tune it all with my dd1 and am running into some trouble. My sub amp is a crescendo bc5500d. The RCA's are input left and right, I plugged each one into the dd1 and turned the volume all the way up with track 1 and never got a signal. I plugged the dd1 into a rca going into the 175.4 i also have for my mids/highs and it told me that my headunit clipped at 40/40. I then plugged the dd1 positive end into the positive speaker terminal on the sub amp( this would be the postive wire that comes from the box right?) and plugged the black end into the ground for my sub amp and got no signal from the dd1 with the volume at 39 since that is the max unclipped volume. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks in advance guys!

The problem was that he threw the sub in a random ass box, you shouldn't do that for any sub let alone a level 6 on 5k.

the recommendation i told you consisting of a 270 amp alt with a d6500 under the hood and 2 xp3000's in the tunk is what i was told directly from xs power on my 05 explorer running a 5500 watt rms amp..

Blah! your making this too complicated. Peak does not mean a thing. Rms is what matters. 1 270 amp alt will be okay just make sure you have enough batteries to go along with it as i already mentioned earlier.

I would order more wire and do two run runs of postive from the front to the back and two runs of negative from the front to the back

i'd run it all together, and it seems most people on here do. I wouldn't be too worried about interference but it's up to you!

just leave the wire as it is from the alt to front batt and then wire from the front batt to the back batt's if thats what your asking. i asked mechman if there was a dual alt bracket for my 05 explorer and he said no so i assume its the same for yours. I didnt check with the other companies. I went with a 270 amp alt from mechman, but go bigger if you can find one!

thats sexy! but considering the two pieces i had to buy for my box.. those who have seen my build would know what size they were cost me $86 I would not want to spend the money on that haha
