  1. Plan on ordering a CC-1 soon as I get home around 10 later tonight.
  2. Alpine is a bit pricey. . .like 412 said you can find some other subs for a much cheaper if not the same price and get more bang for your bucks. Take a look at Sundown Audio subs and amps. They make pretty good stuff and they are pretty cheap too. The SA series are pretty good and the SAZ series of amplifiers are pretty good as well. Not trying to compare anything ok. Just letting you know that there are more stuff out there to look into before you make a final decision on what to buy. Ohm wise. . .2 or 4 really depends on how many subs you plan on running. . .if you say your running one for now then you can go with the dual 2 ohms so you can parallel them down to 1 ohm. but only if the amp is able to push at 1 ohm. If its not then get the dual 4 ohm and wire it down to 2 ohms. If you aren't sure then while looking up the specs of the amps on the website of the brand your looking at. . .be sure to try and find the ohm rating at which it is able to play and how much power it can give you at that ohm rating. Confused?
  3. Do the Daytons come in pairs when you buy them or you have to buy them individually?
  4. Is it dual 2 ohms or dual 4 ohms as 412 asked before?
  5. What is your budget? Any amp is good. Just try to match up the power rating of the amp to your sub.
  6. Do you want to stick with the same name brand for the whole set up or mitch-matching is ok with you?
  7. but how often is that a problem? the high powered 160db cars my team has used never tore a cone. my setup never did either. hell yes there is a need for a dust cap. taking out a dust cap would be like drilling a hole in the side of your box. I was thinking of the old stroker and how it didn't even have a dust cap. I think it had a spider in place of a dust cap. Correct me if im wrong.Anyone remember these
  8. Great product. Hope you find it as easy as I did to use it(cough cough). . .hahaha. Read the manual if needed because it gives you instructions on what to do.
  9. hmmmm. Thanks man. Appreciate the help.
  10. Thanks for the info. really helped out a lot.
  11. Watched a few DD-1 demonstrations and thought I knew what I was doing. LOL!!! Boy did I not know. But good thing it came with a cool little manual telling me what to do step by step. Just got to learn how to read some times. HAHA!!! Great product. Now about to invest in a CC-1.
  12. Oh. LOL!!! I was asking. . .with that amount of money ima spend on this amp. . .what other amp could I get? Not a versus but just recommendations. Thanks a lot for your input.
  13. ok thanks i will go with a sealed box then. actually i'd save your money on equipment and build a ported box for one sub. should get just as loud as the sealed box. shoot me a PM if you have any questions or need a design. I have a question maybe you can answer. I hear sealed has tight bass and port is more boomy but then again port can also go boom and have tight bass. Is that the difference between the 2?
  14. nice find. Never seen one of these on ebay before
  15. Well as of now I want to run 2 of my old 12 inch fosgate punch HX2 dual 4 ohms. Big 3 will be done soon as I get me some new wires.
  16. I've been waiting for some news on this thing right here. Seen some clips on youtube about you making this but never heard any updates after. . .very excited for the final product.
  17. Damn it sounds like a lot of these guys know what they are really doing. Thanks for all the info. Leant a lot while reading.
  18. alright thanks a lot. What would you recommend with that amount? On any sub any ohms it doesn't matter. Thanks for you imputs.
  19. DAMN!!! THIS is a good find. Might have to get some before its all gone.
  20. sounds like a good deal. . .maybe you can try getting it lowered depending on its condition
