  1. I really dont see why so many people are so shocked by this. There are tons of low budget websites ran from someones house that sells audio equipment at up to 5 times what most places sell it for, it's nothing unusual. One of those sites are selling Soundstream SPLX's for $1,300 and SoundStream XXX's for $2,500.
  2. Has happended to me a few times. That is why I always have two credit cards with hardly anything on them for backup in case the Debit dont work.
  3. Videotaping with driving down the highway... not smart... Could of spilled your beer.
  4. They are only as fast as the driver is skilled. The ZX14 of course has the largest bore and most power, but with a average joe rider, it can be taken by a little 600 with a highly experieced rider/racer. All liter bikes will straight up haul ass, period. I would look at what options they come with and what not, not "which one is the fastest".
  5. Maybe it's just the sound and everything echoing, I feel like I just took a horse tranquilizer to the neck when I watch the slo-mo's. And maybe it's slowed down a little too much, taking a few minutes to watch a replay of a 30 second clip. It's all good though, I aint hatin, just ramblin on!
  6. Haha, that doesen't suprise me! I hate seein those videos slowed down though, it's very annoying.
  7. I ran two 12" Mofo's off a Hifonics BX2005D at 2ohms for about a year and half. They were very loud for only two 12's and they were only seeing around 400-500 watts a piece. Great for the money.
  8. Why does it sound like those subs are sputtering on LateNight Tip in the first video?
  9. I sat in ol' Boys van a few monthes ago when he has his CVR's in there. Moved tons and tons of air and made you shake like a crack baby. His mids and highs were some of the best I've ever heard too. What exactly are they? Anyone know?
  10. Yea, I'm in the AF. I hate Montana, so damn cold. Anyone else have any opinions on CVX,SSD,T4? I'm about to bag the CVX's, just would like to hear some more from people that have heard/ran them. Thanks guys.
  11. I'm a E-3 and put on E-4 real soon. Have been in for around 2 1/2 years. And I'm not married. I have the shityist job (nuclear security) at the shityist base (Malmstrom, MT). Can't wait to finish my next 1 1/2 and GET THE HELL OUT!!!! Go back to sunny Florida FTW!!!!!
  12. Thats a real good price for them, but most people say the CVX gets just as loud and even sounds better doing so. They're practicaly the same sub and same motor, but one is round with a hair less surface area. But for $100+ less for the pair, I'd rather bag the CVX. Plus, everyone has L7's
  13. It's a BX not BXI, and I never said it was a "good" amp, or anything about it. :-X But for the price and the power they give out, there not bad at all. Never had any problems whatsoever. And they are not "entry level amps" by any means for an average street beater. I can't afford a $1,000+ amp right now, nor do I need one. And the SSD's are not the cheapest, I can get the CVX's for $300 shipped. Can we stick to the opinions on the subs I listed, and not just my amp. although your telling yourself they arent they very much are entry level, they are older model thats why they are bx instead of bxi. you dont need to spend 1k for a quality 2krms, get a power acoustik its better then a hifonics and youll actually get the power your paying for, and its only about 350 if that It is the older model, but new when I bought it. I plan on buying four Ma Audio ma180xe's (if I can fit) and a couple PA3000db's. But being in the Military doesen't pull in much pay, so that will have wait. For now I'm just looking to do a swap of my 12's and keep the same amp.

  15. It's time to sell my 2 Power Acoustik Mofo's 12's. I got them hooked to a Hifonics BX2005D and they are very loud. But they only sound good on a few select songs and other songs don't hit hardly at all and sound buzzy and not right. I've narrowed my choices down to the FI SSD12 and the Kicker CVX12. Maybe even looking at Soundstream's T4-12. They seem to be the best bang for the buck in their catagory (12" <$200). I did plenty of searching and just can't find a lot of info on the CVX mainly and no head to head comparisons of the two. I am looking for SPL on par with the Mofo's, but to be able to hit on all songs. My enclosure is custom built ported at about 2.5 CF per sub. It's tuned to mid 30's. And as stated I will be powering them with a Hifonics BX2005D. What do ya'll think? Thanks.
