  1. 1st of all, i have two DD 510's. 2nd, currently they are seeing almost twice the rms rating. 350 each and both are seeing 12-1300. only at high volume one of them makes a tink noise. i cant explain it without someone accually hearing it and its not loud enough to hear on a camera. you have to really listen to hear it. high volume as in, the hu goes to 35, i dont turn it past 25 without it sounding like distortion. it makes the noise at 20-22 volume AND at high hz tones at almost any volume. i used test tones last night and at low volume ie. 6 and up, at 55hz and higher it makes the noise. it almost sounds like at high volume full tilt one of the subs are distorting but its very faint. without taking the subs out, could you tell me what it could be??? id take em out, but with the weather at 107 today, i dont feel like sweatn my ass off doin it. oh btw, the subs were on 800 rms from the time i got them (feb this yr), til about a month ago. that amp went out so i got a new one. the amp is a audiopipe mini 1500. gain maybe about a quarter up. need any other info just ask

  4. its not hard to get loud on "cheap". i have a alpine hu two DD 510's audiopipe amp alpine 6.5's power acustik amp and soundquest 1/0 wiring. that cost me 700 dollars. a lil more for the box and i put it in myself. thats loud to me and im happy with it. all on stock electical and at full tilt i drop down to 12 volts at most
  5. yes its 1/0 from the front battery down to 4g for the mids amp
  6. im missing a lot of fuses then. i have it like this right now. front bat---fuse--------------fuse----dis block-1/0----sub amp/ dis block-4g----mids/highs amp. you can see shortly in the vid how it is. btw, the wires have been cleaned up. i had just rewired it that day.
  7. right now i have it fused after the front battery and fused at my dis block. if i add a second battery, i know i need to fuse before the second battery. question is, do i still need to fuse at the dis block? so ill have a total of 3 inline fuses? the second battery wont be more than 2 feet from the amps
  8. well i can have a custom box made but i dont feel like payn big bucks for that (ive never built a box for subs b4)
  9. i dont really know. maybe if the box was built different. the way it is now, i can barely close my trunk. the box is about 3cf
  10. thx for the reply. i have the 2 10's right now and was thinking of puttn a 15 in. im kinda loud now (low 40's) but i wanna be louder out of my trunk
