  1. I get the same error with my tracking number. No biggie. If i got a number, then it most likely shipped. It will get here when it gets here.
  2. Happy New Year!!
  3. Try the rca straight into the DD1 first. If that doesn't work then i will ask if you are using the original CD than came with the DD1, then i will ask about any LPF and HPF your h/u might have. I know you said those were off, but i ask anyway. If you have a h/u wit sub out you may try to put your sub level at max whatever that is.
  4. Well, negative goes to the ground terminal not speaker negative if thats what you mean. If you have a terminal that you can't connect the alligator clip to then battery negative should work.
  5. I read that like you are testing through the amp. Instead of that, plug the rca into the dd-1 and try again.
  6. Did you copy-paste? If there are any spaces before or after the code it won't work. I didn't see a time limit on the code.
  7. A signature on the back would be cool, but having a certificate of authenticity and a XX of 100 on it with Steve's Signature would be better.
  8. Shipping is pricey, $12 to kansas. But w/e coupon code translates to free shipping. BTW, I would have paid 100 bucks for this. lol Too late!
  9. Just ordered mine! woot! edit; hope they are numbered. Love to have X of 100 just to show off!
  10. Nice work Kevin. I really hope funds work out the way i plan because i want one of those 125.4's. I'm really liking the design too. Plus, it's hard to find a 4 channel amp with any power that has a bandpass feature. So this shows that you put some thought into this. What is the crossover slope on the 125.4?
  11. oh, I know. I put this on your facebook. Unless Kevin was doing this giveaway it will be removed. Only vendors can do giveaways or something like that. And they have to get permission and junk.
  12. didn't a thread just like this get deleted? What's up with that?
  13. Not that anyone would doubt the quality of these items, but i have bought a used amp and a pair of open box subs from Skar audio. All of it has worked flawlessly for several months now. Thanks again guys. I love these sales. Unfortunately, I am broke as a mofo this month. Having kids at Christmas really kills the checkbook, lol.
  14. Um, if i am understanding THD correctly, then the DD-1 must have an internal filter,(like a 39.99hz to 40.01hz, and one similar for 1k. It samples both what goes through the filter and also samples what does not. So once whatever does not go through the filter is above .99% of the total signal it lights up the distortion light. Or am i way off here. That could possibly create a situation where if for some reason you were processing the signal and it was effecting 40hz, the dd-1 would show distortion sooner. Because on an o-scope you would just see a waveform, and not notice if the frequency shifted. edit: i mean the user may not notice an effected(sp) signal
  15. Steve! You suck at building computers. You did everything wrong, jeezus why didnt you take the screens out of the bezels and fiberglass them together you noob! Just kidding man, i was reading the comments and was rofling so hard. For real though, that rig is sick as hell. I can only imagine what it must be like sitting in front of 3 40" screens like that. Nice work man.
  16. Um, am i the only one that coudn't connect to the board for like hours?

  17. if that guy really did say that, then he really isn't that respectable....because a DD-1 won't break an amp any quicker then a DMM or an O-scope would. That is the most ludicris thing i have heard. Go pick the most cheapest, flea market amp you can find. A Boss amp perhaps. And shove a DD-1 probe into it. I bet it doesn't blow. So if it doesn't blow, made of the cheapest parts there is, then what does that say about whatever amp that was that blew? I highly doubt it did FROM our product. I have never seen it EVER and sold 3,000 of them so far...not one customer called and said their amp blew. in fact i have 100% ratings on every single transaction and after sell. Go look at the comments. Nothing but love. This product is sold and being used in training courses all over the world. The people who don't like it are just MAD...and they can stay that way I am extremely happy. And the most awesome thing is you are dumping all that money back into development for more and better products. My sincere thanks Steve!
  18. Why don't we just define, distortion and clipping right now. We all know that clipping can occur no matter the volume. Clipping is simply when a sine wave is outside of the dynamic range of the recording media right? You can also have a clipped sine wave, then reduce that saved information (i.e. aac, mp3 wav....) back below the media's dynamic range and it will still be clipped because that information is already lost. But would someone care to explain how "distortion" is different?
  19. I see that on my setup, I mean, if i run at where -5db would be with my skar 1500.1 and my 65X4 amp is at 0db, and full tilt i might drop to 12.9 on stuff like dubstep and a couple psyph tracks at full tilt. thats on a 65amp alt and two batteries. Once i get above -5 though, which i imagine i am most likely clipping more than i should, it will start to get progressively worse. So other than my ears, i use my volt meter as a "woah" gauge.
  20. Close, The dd-1 is designed to set amps at battery resting voltage, which is less than a system charging voltage. You are right about proper electrical, as you should not drop below battery resting voltage to reduce the risk of clipping. Not to say that clipping will absolutely happen if you do drop below battery resting voltage. This is why you set gains using the dd-1 with the engine off.
  21. atta boy, way to not read the op's posting and just read what he copy and pasted! Yep, Isn't he cute, like a little Steve Meade Jr., except he hasn't learned to read yet. haha
