I just happen to go to the wccaradio sit to look for the dd-1 tracks and that pic was there, i just saw Steve posted that pic 23 minutes ago to his facebook. lol. Then i realized that the tracks are on d'amore's web site. What are the odds?

underpowering wont hurt anything. Trying to compensate for low power by clipping will. I can't recommend which of those two to get. all i can say is every time i buy something i find myself 6 months later wishing i would have saved up for more powa! more more more.

Didn't you do this last year? And i know how pumpkins get when you start carving them. How do you keep them from just flying apart lol?

ya bro i have definitely put a lot o yes, i use an eq. The 3sixty.3 is a 248 band parametric eq. (31x 8 ) an EQ is definitely worth running but only if you have enough experience to know that making a "smiley face" isn't "tuning" LOL That's funny because my e.q. curves used to look like that. Now it looks kind of like a "~" with a spike down in the center. Damn ep2x and its 12db slope. And even though it not recommended i have a couple of freq's cut before they even hit the ep2x. Oh, well, whatever it takes. So hard to be loud and sound good when you have to cut 50 jillion things to get it leveled out. lol

I have a few videos where my stereo is playing and youtube tells me i have copyrighted content. I don't have any strikes, i just have to have ads next to my vids. Of course i don't monitize my vids either.

You will have to give max dimensions, and i since its a trunk build keep in mind the trunk opening size unless you want to build in the trunk.

also, that port height means you will have to build a top and bottom wall for it, so it won't look quite like the one in the pic. to do like the pic you have to go 14.5h on the port.

I get 2.81cuft after port and sub displacement. Thats pretty small, 1.4cuft per sub. Port area looks good though and it looks like its tuned to 35hz. If you can build a bit bigger it would help, but then the port would have to grow with it. edit. Those numbers are based on a 3 common wall port, which is what is in the pic. You port dimensions though mean it's like actually 2 common wall or 0 depending on how you build the port. so it comes out to 2.76cuft. or 2.63.

This, are there any pics of what the new faceplate will look like? Also will the new model be more expensive?

Sheet metal does work and of course put some deadener on it. You might want to throw some speednuts around the opening because the sheet metal in the door will probably strip if you over tighten the screws. But like emperor said use some foam gasket around the edge to make sure it seals up good and doesn't rattle

no one answered this that i can tell so i will, and the answer is yes. You need to remove the jumpers for right and left sides.

I do like hunter does. Set with -10, then mark around where my lc-1 is for -5 and 0. Then I try not to be stupid.

The Fakuda designed one? That was my first love! That van is stunning Old School. I think it is still intact- which is nice. ;D i think his blazer is hiding somewhere too, not sure how intact though. I sat in the fosgate van back in the 90's in sadalia Mo. at a monster truck show. The one i sat in had 4 1kw amps and i think 4 18's? (plus a bunch of other stuff) It was a long time ago. I remember it having like 3 component sets in each door. The played something that the guy said dropped to 20hz. It was loud enough it made my left ear itch even with the doors open. Plus the mids and highs were so clear and sounded so good i was amazed. I can't find an images of it, i remember the wall had black mesh covering the subs and i thought it still had the second row seats in it. So it may have been 4 15's. There was a kicker pickup truck there that had 4 subs in a diamond pattern firing at each other that sound horrible like the subs where in too small of boxes. And a kenwood taurus or something that wasn't loud but it was super clean. Is this the van you were talking about. It was so long ago my memory is a little fuzzy, but i don't think that is it. I remember the subs being flat and black felt or something covering the whole face of the wall. Plus, the console had a module in it with maybe 5 or six knobs to control various things like volume and bass and such. There were several demo vehicles there so i may be mistaken.

I have no doubts on what product i will buy, Just wish i had the disposable income to do a comparo just for curiosities sake. That's just how i am, I love to test and tweak and try new things. Guess i could see how the return poilicy is on these and when i get my vm-1 I could buy the xtune and make a video then return it. I would only be out the shipping that way.

The kuryakyn one is for motorcycles. I doubt it reads fast enought to even come close to the smd unit. Better use is to check your battery is good at a bike show for those guys with speakers.(lame imho) I think you should spend the 80$ to buy the other one since its your idea I can think of better ways to spend my money. The Xtune is nice but they didn't put numbers around the face so the info there is kind of useless unless you take the time to note where what voltage is. Thats why i love D'amore products so much, they put more thought into what they make.
