    that wall plug you are using is probably 500ma and that amp probably pulls 3A at idle. Wild guess, that may be your problem. how is it even working?!

    I fill that sucker with solder. let it cool then heat it back up so it sucks the solder down in the connector. I use lugs though and it's easier they are closed on one end.

    After your connections are soldered right and cooled you should be able to put that terminal in the vice and pull the hard on it and it should stay together. You have to be confident in your connections, why fry an amp because of a $2 part and a 5 minute fix.

    I believe some people use the "bass shakers" in their furniture in home theaters to add another sensory effect to their movie experience. I've never personally seen it done but have read about it before. I've seen a car win a Car Audio world championship with 2 of these in his vehicle ... (a team mamber of our group) ... Like I said, You have to know what you are doing when you use a product like this ... Well, could you please enlighten me then? I am curious as to their use?

    Yeah, But it would make a nice science experiment What would catch on fire first ??? Subs or amps ??? Make sure you take a good video of this ... my money is on the amps ... I don't think the amp would give a crap. If it can handle the load. It just does what it's told, i think the sub would go first since one coil would be trying to move more than the other. Magic smoke would ensue.

    This reminds me of something that was made back in the 90's. They were these servos that would just shake the crap out of everything. they were made for car audio. To this day i have no idea why you would want one. I even had a shop salesman try to get me to buy one to put under my seat cause he said it would give me "butt bass". I was just as confused on that one.

    Well, technically you could get .68 in theory and with box rise you might see 1ohm. But you would have to wire parallel one 4ohm coil to the other two ohm coil, on both subs then wire that parallel. I'm trying to visualize that and i don't even know if it would work. Resistance = (2ohm coil x 4ohm coil) / ( 2 ohm coil + 4 ohm coil) (8/6) =1.33 (1.33X1.33)/(1.33 + 1.33) = .68 Hmmm....

    Um, question. I see too many builds on here with guys who spent so so many hours planning and building and perfecting their enclosures and they would skimp on something like that?

    no, if you turn up something past flat you are increasing the signal and risking clipping and distortion. and more bands aren't always better. i have a 28 band e.q. and it seems like i am always tweaking something. but i always cut, never boost.

    I assumed he already had hooked it to the power ground, that's why i suggested using speaker ground because i heard somewhere that in some instances you may have to do that to get a signal.

    Maybe i miss understood the question. Are you saying you cant get signal from your amp when the rca's aren't plugged into it?

    A couple things could be happening. Make sure the bass boost is off, make sure your LPF isnt too low, and you might try grounding to speaker negative instead of the main ground.

    Well, until i get my roof done we just have that Kansas fair plan insurance, i don't think it would cover something like this. I may look into it.

    My sons four wheeler caught on fire while he was riding. I think it was a fuel leak. No one was hurt but here is the aftermath!
