Look for something with an X, K and KA band frequencies, as well as a false warning filter. Many cheaper ones have a problem where automatic sliding doors will set them off, so the better models will filter things like that out. Also, a dimming feature is nice for night time. Personally, for the cost I like the Whistler PRO-78SE.
