  3. X31's i get weird static alot of times.. hmmmm id say that either somethnig isnt hooked up right or there is a defect in them which you need to contact tb's customer service about because every pair ive everowned used or seen worked perfectly and were flat out amazing....ive had like two pairs of the x31's btw (gotten out of and back into gaming to many times to count) i actually prefer the xp500's seen here: http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/xbox-gaming-headsets/ear-force-xp500.aspx?gclid=CMiBqtye1q8CFeVgTAodHR-__Q i just never bought them because of how many times ive gotten out of gaming and sold everything...

  6. fuckin epic steve you are the man!!!!!!!!!!! but question you gonn do anymore ninja-ing?
  7. yeah it was coil rub thank you for your help in pointing me in the right direction yall should check out the description
  8. this is the second time ive done it the first time the paper cone tore off i put it back on and decided to just switch out the cone and add another spider for stiffness and it worked up til bout the begining of this month and it over heated and detached everything so i decided to repair the original paper cone and put it all back together....dont beleive me check the vids ive got on youtube... well the leads are out of the way and arent moving from their spot as for the coil rubbing i have no way to see inside to see if it is or not but thats what everyone seems to be thinking it is so im probably going to end up taking it back apart and aligning it again then gluing it again....Edit~ also forgot this but i took it out of the box about 5 mins ago and it plays perfectly if you push on the corrisponding section of the spider also the spider is extremely stiff
  9. hmmm well damn its going to be a bitch to get it back apart to where i can put it back on with it aligned....btw how would i go about aligning the coil?i tried the paper trick and theres enough room where the coil doesnt touch the inside magnet but not enough room to wheree i can get a peice of paper of something in there to make sure its spced properly...
  10. not as far as i can tell ive checked it all around and it doesnt seem to be
  11. Well the past 2-3 nights ive been working on putting my sub that fell apart back together and last night i got it finished. this morning i went to do a video of it to show that it is indeed working. well i put it in its box and plugged it into my little 100w radio and it started playing but it was making a weird noise and it was playing VERY little bass. i started poking around on it and anywhere except one section it cuts out all bass BUT when i push on one section it plays perfectly....does anyone have any ideas or knowledge or anything that could help me out? im afraid to put it back in the blazer cuz with it acting like this im afraid itll blow the coil when i hook it back up to my amp.....
  12. call me stupid but what exactly is it for? (in noob terms please) Speaker testing, box designing / tuning will be one of the common uses. oh ok thanks dude ill def have to look into getting one of these as well as the other smd d'amore tools when i get the money
  13. hey steve, would yall be able to get some in green insted of blue? also what about a single meter option (instead of the dual) im wanting to do one for each speaker one in each door and one for the sub but id have no use for the last meter(5 out of 6 would be used and it just seems like it would be a waste...)
  14. damn..... yeah i knew they were expensive but 600-700?wtf? but in the long run wouldnt it be worth it? Depends how serious you are, lots of tinkering and using the term lab can really help. yeah i see your point man but then again im on the debate about (when i get a job again and start getting money again) wether to go for number or not...
  15. yeah i knew they were expensive but 600-700?wtf? but in the long run wouldnt it be worth it?
  16. yeah its a shitty meter cuz my system peaked at 103 dbs using an app i downloaded on my phone and was hitting 127 directly against the cone of my door speakers....its just like when a person (like me) that has a very deep voice talks at the same volume as everyone else is harder to hear/understand therefore the microphone is having extreme dffuculties picking up the lows from the subs and not registering...imo return it pay the extra for termlab
  17. i still say check audiosavings i mean they have cheap amps and good customer service and thats where that re amp i showed you and you liked was from
