  1. outta budget because of the shipping.loud, while keeping my stock eletrical. i getting big 3 but something stock alt can handle. so id love to run 200 rms but dont thave the car power yet to do it
  2. 300-400 for a pair. closer to high 200's for a sinlge sub thats as far as subs go
  3. i want to get either 2 12's, 15's or 18's. Nothing like 1500rms. Just like starter 15's or 18's haha. A decent amp to power them. can be a sperate purchase so if you dont have everything any little bit counts. also want some component speakers. i got 6 x 9 in the front so anything that fits for that and i have 6.75 in the back. also looking for a 4 channel for the speakers. Trying to do an upgraded budget build so don't show me like $500 subs cuz i cant afford them. And for what its worth i have a 250rms mono amp, and 2 12's mtx subs that rms at 400 together in a sealed box (it was all like a kit)
  4. so essentially. the cheapest way no matter what to check all gains and clipping is a DD1. . .and the best upgrades would be the big 3 (being the cheapest) then a new battery, then a H.O. alt. Sub size does not effect the sound but more the volume, and its the box type and specs ans such that define whether its tight bassy and whatnot. an with simple upgrades like big 3 and battery, any car should be able to handle quite a bit of power...
  5. no im not worried about it right now. but wanting to upgrade to around 1000rms is what i want to prepare my car for
  6. so a big amp sucking power from a stock system strains the alt more than an alt charging multiple batteries feeding the big amp. correct?
  7. keep in mind i have 246k and the alt is stock, would it be smarter to upgrade that or the bettery and big 3. if thats comparible
  8. good to know about the sizes. and the reason about the relays was doesnt putting a second battery directly tied to the main one just strain the alt? even with the big 3?
  9. i think mine is 136 amps if that sounds about right. and by extra battery like using a relay to jump over the the one in the back after the car is started? and about the 12's 10's things. to my knowledge 10's sound better for metal because they produce tighter more punchy bass (which is better for like fast kick drums) vs 12's cant reproduce as fast. and thanks
  10. I have a dual audio deck that i guess rms at 18watts. is there any other way than using a DD1 to find the clipping volume. I know how to use a DVM to find the rms on my sub amp abut i wanna get the best volume from the deck first. Secondly. Everything in my jeep is stock except for the deck, mono amp, and subs. .... alt, battery, everything else is stock. im only running 250rms and my lights dimm a little on heavy bass (yes i know its only 250 but it slams for just that) i want to upgrade. 12's down to 10's for more punch but go from 250rms to maybe 500ish to 1000rms (for now). and get a 4 channel for my speakers and get some decent compenents. What are the best things to upgrade on a budget that are necessary for running a god amount of power. Thanks
