Loudest 8 inch midrange i can get too keep up with 2x15 fi btl
purplesyrup replied to 04navi's topic in Mid's and highs
It's only 250W, NOT 1000W. I want something to keep with my bass, more detailed loud voice, some one recommended beymas but Nootka sure which model. however I'm Not trying to modify my doors want to keep them stock. Each door currently consist of 1 tweeter & 8" speaker. What does the rest of your system consist of? Do you have a highs amp? oh yea, 250 RMS 1000 bursts if I remember right -

for dubstep, 40hz cuts off to early for the lows. but you dont want to tune it too low or you wont hardley hit any of the higher hz Dubstep has such a wide range of HZ in most songs, I will be experimenting with my tuning soon, its just been like 107 degrees out every day so I have been staying in the A/C and the times im working out side ive been messing with this jag I am at 40hz, then I will test 38-37-36-35-34 with some swapout ports Im making, and hopefully be able to determine the best dubstep tune in the process

$220 Budget for second battery
purplesyrup replied to ZachG's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
All I know is I never had to charge it once, my lights never dimmed and the voltage stayed up, it was the shit. Like I said, its equal to running 6-7 batteries, they are crazy. so 6 1000amp batteries. So how ever long that would last, I heard kinetic is working out a deal with northstar to make them some batts, but you know they will be $500 a piece, i'll stick with the cell tower batts for the low low -

New toy
purplesyrup replied to purplesyrup's topic in Member Rides & Builds -- Show off your whip, Show off your System!
I really hope they fit. This is a pic of my Greed wheels with out the flange on, this was a one off set of wheels, only set that exists in this size. It was a sema show display set that never got produced There is a 23" flange that goes on then they look like this (this is my old grand am) Only prob is I only have 1 left as the others got vandelized. Being a one off set, there were no others, so I have to find someone that can cast a mold of the one I have left -
Well here it is. this is the "show off your whip" post test fitting my 20" greeds tomorrow, if the lug does not fit, then I snag some that fit it and sell the greeds. For the system, I am totally mass debating on what products to run, and what kinda F'ed up ish I can do in this. And I will start finishing the trunk in purplesyrup next week..

Item weight 50 LBS Shipping weight 141 lbs, WTF are they packing this with oh and you will only get 200 to 300 bass beats off the batteries Product Description * 1500 Watt Peak Power * 750 Watts RMS * 20 -100k Frequency Response * Efficiency: db 1W/1M 90.3 * Impedence: 4-Ohms Per Coil DVC KICKERs patented Solo-Baric square-woofer design lends itself to the most effective bassmakers in any vehicle, let there be no doubt. The squares size-to-decibel ratio remains superior to any woofer on the market, thanks to its 16-20 percent more cone area than a round woofer of a like size. The Solo-Baric L5 Subwoofer provides every bit of the effectiveness the technology offers, & the crushing bass as well. L5 may be the little brother to SoloX & Solo-Baric L7, but the differences are barely noticeable. L5 inherits the same inner workings as the L7, like the cutting-edge SoloKon, the vacuum-formed, ultra-rigid cone used to push massive amounts of air. & just as its predecessor, L5s motor structure uses high-temp dual voice coils, a poly-cotton semi-progressive spider, long-lasting tinsel leads, the effective UniPlate pole piece/back plate, & a T-cut top plate for dispersing heat & creating immense power handling. A wide Santoprene surround easily handles the punishment handed out by the L5s motor & cone, & a rear foam gasket secures the stamped-steel basket to any baffle. The steel basket w/spring-loaded terminals & a tough-looking magnet boot, the logo-bearing protective front gasket, & SoloKons hot matte finish make the Solo-Baric L5 rugged enough to take onto any city street. The four sizes of Solo-Baric L5 are available in 2-Ohm or 4-Ohm DVC & buckle pavement from sealed- or vented-box applications. Battery Life Approximately 200~300 times Warm Up Time 10-20 seconds Response Time 5 seconds Sensor Accuracy +/- 0.01 %BAC @ 0.02 %BAC Unit Dimensions - 1.33 x 4.05 x 0.98 inches, Weight - 1.87 oz. (with mouthpiece & batteries)

Yea, turn it around and experiment with different distances from the trunk lid, for the time being Usually around 6 inches from the back of the trunk will help the subs load and create more pressure (in the cars i've had ) I would suggest on your new build you bump it up to 12"s, 15"s, or an 18" more cone area, more pressure, you will need more power also, The only time when this does not apply is on some of the very high end woofers that can handle loads of power. Refering back to your old post, You mentioned your subs are not hitting loud like you want, with out doing any math or knowing any deminsions, the box in your video appears to be tuned very very low, and you were playing metal, so just guessing for example, if your box is tuned to 32 HZ, its very likely it will not slam off that double kick drum like you want it to. I''d suggest tuning in @ 40 hz for metal, but if you listen to all sorts of music, 36hz works well also, from my experiance
