well f both of you i only got 1-25 or 26 lol cant remember

  5. i was thinking for the week or so shipping time ill just put one of the d975s upfront and have the other two in the back.... im still REALLY REALLY nervous to put a xs power battery under the hood because the radiator is RIGHT next to the factory battery location..... might have to buy one of those cases they sell for it to "so much money and time spent making copper windings move up and down a magnetic pole"
  6. HAHAH really? i assumed it would cause problems with the d975s because from my understanding the batteries that have the highest resting voltage (my d975s rest @ 12.7x NEW never charged and my flooded rests at like 12.3 or some crap) will be drained by the battery with the lower voltage... im just wondering if a week is a long enough time to cause damage
  7. this may have already been answered i searched for a good 20 mins to find the best answer to my question and only came up with this: any xs power batteries mixed with non xs power batteries can deplete overall lifetime and performance of the xs power batteries! so here is my problem lol... i have 3 brand new d975s that are going in the back of my truck for a "midget battery bank" and i have a (N)ever start 700 maxx upfront (bought it from a friend when my optima started resting @ 11.8 ) im at the point of my build that i need to run the 1/0 and get the battery bank hooked up but i really dont want to "mix" them with that shitty flooded upfront! i plan on ordering a d925 for upfront tonight or tomorrow and it should be here by next week sometime. so my question is.............................................. if i hook up the back batteries to the front for lets say no longer than a week could i cause any serious problems to the D975s? or am i better off waiting the week or so till the d925 comes? the only reason i ask is i dont have my 4 channel hooked up and driving around with no music at all is kill me any help would be greatly appreciated!
  8. GOD DAMN IT WHY CANT IT EVER STAY NICE OUT!?!?!?!?!? #CAPSLOCKRAGE!

  9. I think you should use bolts and countersink the holes in the MDF to make it flush and to avoid snags im never gonna use my self tappers LOL (figured they where to small anyways lol) looks like im taking a trip to menards tomorrow morning
  10. any advise on the best way to secure the mdf to the floor of the truck? im making "legs" for the lower parts to support that area would self tappers do the trick? (not worried about any holes in the floor as its going to happen one way or another)
  11. im honestly thinking this build will be a year at max then ill wall it off lol the day i rebuild my 4G63T and tranny in my talon is the day this thing gets walled off all i know is this is gonna be a bitch lol BTW all of the "stock/factory carpet" is long gone so i have no template... guess im going to have alot of trim pieces to hide all my F*&% ups lol
  12. i dunno my box smell went away after a few weeks of hot weather i pulled the sub out a few times to check for burnt coils, bad leads, loose spiders and impedance on the coils if you smell it while playing the system on a hot day id check everything to make sure otherwise bang it till the wheels fall off
  13. one of my mice (food for my balls pythons) cannibalized another one :*( sorry for your loss
  14. my old box smelled kinda sweet when it got hot out if it smells REALLY REALLY strong or bad then i would be worried if its a faint smell mostly likely resin/glue/paint or whatever else you may have in the box
  15. Good point about scratching the box, plus anything that is not bolted down on a painted floor will slide around. box will be bolted either with thread rods to the frame or l brackets not sure which (i do have like 6 L brackets laying around im worried it may look tacky lol) but yeah good point about paint getting scratched to shit im thinking about just leaving the false floor where the box will be unpainted/carpeted and carpet/paint the rest which ever one i choose im really undecided right now... i want it too look clean and good but doesnt need to be SHOWROOM quality if that makes any sense
  16. im actually thinking about putting a hinge on the side trim piece and possibly buy a battery charger that i can leave under their or only extending the false floor out to about 53 in (giving the box enough roof front to back) and then do a hinged floor after that like a little tool box type thing for the batts so if i need to remove them its easier than ripping it all apart
  17. i dont really like it lol if i wanna hear someone rap fast i listen to some old school Twista his iphone stop watch and pancake video is way better than this! but yeah "cracka got no flows" (not saying i can rap any better lol)
  18. a few little updates coming for the build log but i took the day off today to go swimming with the Fam!

  19. yeah i figure make a level floor from the front seats back... hide the batteries and wire/ my ugly MM1000.4 under it LOL i kinda want to do a two-tone (grey on black/black on grey) took keep it looking like the stock interior rather than a solid black (my headliner is all black tho) i dunno would you recommend certain paint over others for MDF? spray vs outdoor house paint or something of that nature?
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF7DAa9ZSOE maybe it would have been faster to type it out but this way to can visualize what im talking about rather than guessing and if i build the false floor and then carpet it, wont it be harder to push a box for 4 15's on carpet rather than straight MDF im also thinking maybe just painting the MDF (i have like 4 cans of krylon satin black from a few months ago) but from what ive seen MDF looks like ass painted because the MDF soaks the paint up and leaves blemishes let me know!
  21. the dance he does at the end is pretty funny lol
  22. im going to take a video quick to explain it lol its alot of bull shit to type out give me a few mins to take a video and upload it
  23. so i never really work with wood much other than 2 years in high school (craftsmanship 1 & 2) i know the basics but i got a few questions that maybe some of you can answer! first things first! this is a 97 jimmy truck is GUTTED! not back seats (front seats are out right now) all factory carpet and insulation is gone all trim pieces are out 100sq feet of FatMat is laid on the floor from fire wall to rear trunk latch lol my main question is: should i carpet the floor first, or build a false floor and carpet after? the box is going to be 51" x 37"x 25" and will be carpeted aswell and bolted down to the false floor with L brackets and possibly threaded rods through the bottom if i need to get pics/video i will so its a little easier to understand what im asking! materials i have on hand: 3 sheets of 1/2 MDF (2feet by 4 feet) 2 2x10s some liquid nails a box of screws (cant remember what i used them for but they should work) 20 or so 1 1/2 self tapping screws jig saw 18v drill 120 volt drill 4in angle grinder /w cutting wheels lol i think thats all but just to get an ideal of what i have if i dont get many opinions or advise ill just wing it
  24. i remember back when i was a kid my mom got pulled over. The a sheriff told her that her headlights where "outta whack" and aligned them for her by driving close to a garage door so the light beam was more focused and adjusted them with the screws.....(dirty piggster was macking on my mom lol) this was on a 95 caviler so it wont work with any vehicles but it worked with my 93 talon
