  1. turn your lpf up to 70-80hz...the way u have it set means that nothing above those frequencies gets played... i would also put the subsonic a hair lower..
  2. how are ur gains set on the amp? how much power are u running/what amp? what about the headunit...do u have a sub output control on it?

  5. well u will need one anyways after u burn a hole thru the cone when u try and solder them... dont know what else to tell ya...save up and recone them...
  6. dont try and solder them...save ur time and recone it... the pads are the least of ur worries...and a recone should have new pads..
  7. yea..the only time i personally think an o-scope is necessary is in super high power situations....cause on a 10,000watt burp, even a little clipping would be very bad... but from that articles, he is saying that distortion and clipping is fine from what i gather...
  8. over excursion probably caused the tinsel leads to snap... sure u can get a new pad...but that aint gonna solve ur snapped tinsel lead..lol need a recone unless u somehow manage to solder the tinsel lead back together without burning a hole thru the sub... so i would recone
