  1. Yep, under the back seat on the right side. My dad has a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and the battery is under the hood. No clue as to mine is under the back seat
  2. I think that's what I'm gonna do for sure. My battery is actually under the back seat but, thanks man!
  3. Okay, I get what you're saying. I have the amp turned down so it's not pushing 2k, about 11-1200ish. It hasn't gotten hot on me yet. Would it have anything to do with the bass knob being hooked up?
  4. If this helps.. If I bump pretty hard for about 30 minutes to an hour it goes into protect mode and about 15 second later it turns back on
  5. I'll definitely do that, to both things. Can I ask what does the bass boost do? Make the amp overheat?
  6. Amp is warm, but not close to hot. KnuKonceptz kca 1/0 for power wire on big 3. Welding cable ofc for grounds. Amps are grounded under carpet directly to the frame, directly on bare metal. Tuned gains with voltmeter it's pushing about 1200 watts. Bass boost is on. Is it because you need a fairly serious electrical to push 1 ohm?
  7. Okay, I drive a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville, has a 140 amp stock alternator. I've done the big 3, I have a XS Power 975 for my second battery. I have 2 SA 15s on a Soundstream TX1.2000D and a JL Audio JX360/4 amp. After I've done everything I'm experiencing minimal voltage drop but after a long while of bumping my amp will go into protect mode because I'm assuming the alt just can't keep up. So basically I've narrowed my options down to a few. Upgrade my alt, Stinger 225 amp for $380, Stinger 275 amp for $450, Mechman 270 amp for $450, or a DC 300 amp for $500. But my other option would be to upgrade my stock battery to a XS Power D3400 for $260. What should I do? Any help would be great, thanks! Edit: SA's are D4s wired down to 1 ohm
  8. You wouldn't be disappointed with the SA's at all. Yeah, before I bought my Sa15s I was a little sceptical.. But they are worth every penny. Then can take a beating and can give a beating. Then hit the lows and can hit the punchy bass like a 10"
  9. I have the 4 ch pair of KnuKonceptz Krystal RCAs and a 2 ch pair of them and boy.oh boy do.i love em
  10. Mine used to whine and make weird noises..was a ground loop. Most people run into these problems now days because most cars aren't uni body chassis like they were back in the day.. Most grounds in the trunk are only as strong as their welds. But, glad to hear you fixed the problem
  11. I'd also invest in an alarm.. And, another thought.. Sounds pretty ghetto but would get shit done.. After you are done messing with your head unit and what not line the backs of your stuff with razor blades if you want..had a buddy do it.. Cleaned up blood once or twice but nobody ever tried stealing his shit after that. You don't have a buddy with any tools?
  12. nice to know. Can't you extra sound equipment insurance separately though? I'm sure you can, but would cost more monthly presumeably..
  13. Yeah man, I was sceptical when I read "B-Stock" but I ordered it and fell in love. If B-Stock is this good..I can only imagine about the Damp Pro. Shit does wonders
  14. You can get 30sq ft of B Stock Damp Pro for $150 shipped and it will out preform Dynamat
  15. Look into Second Skin man.. You don't need full coverage and it does work for sure
  16. If your box is attached to the frame with bolts it is also covered under insurance
