  1. Can we get some color options for the stickers? I has nothing white on meh car. Lol.
  2. Um... no? All I can smell in my car is fiberglass resin from glassing the inside of the box. I ran decaf when I had one of them inverted in another box but it barely got more than warm. I am only running 150wrms though.
  3. New video slightly better quality. Don't expect 1080P or great sound, those subs were raping his phone mic:
  4. ^^^ Thanks bro, I may be new to this forum but I have been into car audio since '99 when I got a pair of audiobahn 12's on a trade. First look in the car: More(hopefully better res) on the way!
  5. So we finally finished glassing the box today, I got some 12G wire at a local shop(that will remain unmentioned due to them being horrible) made by QPower and it looks like 14G with thick insulation it claims AWG status and it is solid copper wire, not CCA so I guess I can't complain much. Wired the subs at 4 ohms each then ran them in parallel which gave me a 2 ohm load. Checked the finished product and it came out to 1.8 ohms.... Badass. Got the box in the car, wired to the amp and........ nothing. One of the wires inside the box came out of the connection, checked the resistance again and nada... Popped the sub over the terminals out and fixed the wiring. Threw them back in the car, wired them up and put on White Clouds by Decaf. At 24 seconds the skies parted and the hand of God covered my ears with the loudest bass my car has ever experienced. All at (rated, not clamped)150WRMS. Bass was at the middle like in the above video and judging by the feeling dyno I am pretty confident it was around 130db. Definitely impressed. Seems to hit best between 42-50 htz on my tester cd and I can not wait to get a new amp. I swear I will go deaf. Lol. Bumped it for about 30 minutes on the way home on some Decaf, the bass hit so hard when I got home I could feel it in my throat... Overall these are some mean motherfuckers and I was not prepared for what I experienced. I am loving it.
  6. When I posted that I was referring to this and using a 3" thick baffle: I also never said the subs fired at each other and I didn't realize they had a port between the chambers.
  7. Currently the one I have in my car in an old .35 cube sealed box on a RF Pbr300.1 sounds great, unfortunately we had to reverse mount it because the box was so small . I forgot to throw up my decaf vid: Cell phone camera sucks and doesn't do the sub justice. My pair of MA80xe's never hit like that and that is just one Skar in the same boxes the MA80xe's were in for a few months. So you are saying basically a 2:1 ratio? So if I ever decide to make another .75 sealed and 1.5 ported would be more optimum?
  8. Partially because the FS is @44 on the D2's but also so the L port ends right between the subs so they get about equal air flow from the port. The ported box is single chambered at 1.2cf.
  9. So I cut up the 4th order and am making a ported @48htz. Here are a couple pics of the ported with the MA-8 vs my old MA80XE's.
  10. Mine got here yesterday and one went in the car when I got to them, need to finish my box before the other one goes in... God they are beasty!!!!
  11. I agree, they are beasty as hell! I got two and my buddy got one, I am only running one of mine right now in a .3^ft sealed box since we aren't finished with my ported double box. I am also only running a PBR300.1 wired to one ohm for now until I get a more powerful amp.
  12. Badass. Do they run 12V systems too? See anyone rocking some Skars over there... or Ska-r's(my attempt at a knock off name)?
  13. Sorry, it wasn't there when I looked a couple weeks ago, didn't realize they updated their site so frequently.
  14. Damn, where are you gonna throw those subs you talk about in the build thread?
  15. So what is the mounting depth? I have tore down my box and have already started rebuilding it, my MA80xe's have about an inch before one of them hit the port with the magnet. I would guess about a 6" depth is what I have going on now with a 1.22CF displacement (not including port dimensions which equal out to .25CF). Am I gonna clear with the Skars or should I rethink my port?
  16. Damn it, still not shipped LOL. I still need to mod my box anyways so it's cool.
  17. Damn, you know it's bad when you are considering getting bigger mids than subs... 2 MA-8's on order, possibly two of these in 10's...
  18. Damn Customs... I bought a cd from china once on ebay and it took almost 2 months... Apparently it was a suspicious object according to customs officials... It was in a plain brown envelope with a picture of the CD cover thumbnailed on the front of it...
  19. Wow... These dudes are going all out... I had already seen Will's system but I haven't seen the others.
