i heard the crescendo's in a tahoe and they put out some good midbass. i also heard a set of focals in custom kicks but the midrange was so loud it was annoying. depends on the build i guess

fairly new to car audio, need mids and highs.

infinity's would be a good start for the money and i've heard audio q makes a pretty cheap, decent sounding set as well. powerbass may have a good set too for the price -
have you considered an external crossover or electronic crossover. i remember buying capacitors back in the day to block out a lot of the lower/mid bass to reduce distortion

horns are good for concert sound but can be a bit harsh if that's what you are looking to do

Loudest 8 inch midrange i can get too keep up with 2x15 fi btl

DLS can handle a lot of power and sound pretty clean -
sundown 3500, mmats 3000, crescendo 3500 or aq 3500 would work good. might be able to get the audio q for a little cheaper

MECA's tough with the fusing. Stinger hi-amp fuses held up the best for me if you can find them. Still would blow 2 80 amp fuses in M3 off 2 Mmats HD4000s or 1 massive D16000. They would hold 2-3 seconds on average

Need subs for small aero-ported burp boxes
SPLCIVICSI replied to 8ight's topic in SPL - SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL
DD's are good burp subs. My 10 year old 9515 did good with 4 4" external aeros in 3.5 cubes for amateur street class -
I've seen 6 10's with a 12" external port and 2 10's both with ports firing straight back doing in the mid 150's. Enclosures were not that tall either.
