Was wondering, i want 10 of these, and i want my system to be a low end monster. Going to be run off a 3.5k watt amp. The box tuning would be around 30, would you recommend these? or no

when is the last time we can preorder?

seems a little big for a 12, but i think that it would slam pretty good, and if you really were worried about it (and plus i really like this design) i would add a brace or 2, just to get the volume down a wee bit. All in all i like it!

If a 15 would fit, i might go with that, and sometime in the future, could do another amp sub

ya, but as i said before, the odds of fitting a 15 in the bed is slim to none

I also thought they were rated at 3500 but their not http://dcsoundlab.com/level5.html Was looking at the 12 not the 15 fail Yes they are rated at 3500, but to be nice to the amp, you dont want it to be pumping out max watts all the time if that makes sense

So what are ya sayin? i should go with 12s? I know you said you haven't measuered and that you could fit a 15 but what if you get a 15 and it don't fit. Basically what I'm saying is measure 12s would fit with ease. 15 would be pushing it

Budget *MAX* would be about 1600 for sub/amp and misc. wires. And i was also thinking 2 because like you stated, more cone area, and peak power for the lvl4s is 2800. and for 2 thats 5600, and running 1750 to each when RMS they are 1400, they will eat that up and love every second of it

The biggest sub i could fit would be a 15 with the sub facing horizontally, if that makes sense. and i have the entire bed as play. which (without measuring it) by guesstament is about 5 1/2 feet wide and about 6 feet long if thats the case do 1 lvl5 15 that would be my choice an probably the best choice. an i imagine that the lvl5 15 is somewhere around 650-700 (i could be way off). i kno its more then u were planning to spend, but it might be worth waiting just a little bit to get a bad ass sub. but hit CJ18 up on the site an ask for a price quote on the subs you are wondering about. wouldnt 2 lvl4 12's out do 1 lvl5 15?

Should i go with 2 lvl4 12s, 1 XL 15? and i dont think a 18 would fit in it.

Tried this yesterday, got no replies. But, I am going to be doing a blow through in a 1976 Datsun ( badass, i know.) The amp i am going to be using is the DC 3.5k, Here comes the question now, What is the biggest bang for my buck that i can get? I only want to spend at most $600ish for the sub (yes i know that your prices are 'hidden' and they vary salesman to salesman. Would like any input from you guys and any other people who have more knowledge than me. eeerm, some misc. info incase anyone cares, Box will be tuned to either 28 or 29, will have 2 XS batts, a bigger alt, 0gauge all around. So ya. please and thank you for the help
