Im looking on getting a new alt for my truck that is a direct bolt on application.. Im leaving it up to you what you recommend...Also was not sure what belt i will be needing.. Thanx Jay

I am not sure if im going with kickers, if i cant find some subs by feb and i have enough money i might go with DC LVL 4 12's or 15's. so when i know for sure what subs im getting i will then add to my final design. btw how did the port look that was another one of mt concerns. i know i probably dont know enough to build myself another box, but we all learn from experience, and im trying to keep the bad experiences to a minimum. I did forget to mention that on the port.. It looks good, the only thing i would change is try and make it 3inches from the back part of the wall.. That way you are equally dividing the 6inch center port...It also would not hurt you if you do decide on going with the DC subs to add a second baffle for mounting the subs..

Well after looking at both I have a few questions.. I noticed on the Sketchup design you have cutouts that look like it would be for some kicker 12's.. are these what your looking into? On the calculator, i noticed that you have the area marked for sub displacement as 1.9.. If you do have any subs yet this needs to be left blank until you decide on what subs you will be using. On the bracing, i dont see any in the box only the 45 angle pieces in each corner.. I recommend that you add some more on the baffle piece...You can use all thread to cut down on displacement of the bracing.... Hope this has helped .. Jay

Thanx Mr. P for your imput... I personally don't care on who i buy from, it could be from DC to Iraggi, or Mechman as long as I get something that works better than the stockone.. I have seen your setup and I'm very impressed with it.

I was thinking of going with DC power, but was not sure if they make one for my truck.. I looked on their site and mazdas are not listed..

Does anyone have any ideas for my truck?

I have a 92 mazda 2600i Pickup and I'm needing to upgrade the stock alt.. Not sure what company to go with. I want it to be a direct bolt-on. Any suggestions would be great.. Was not sure if I would have to take of the stocker and have it custom build into something.. Thanx Jay

From what I can tell in your vid, the dash area looks like its flexing alot more...

You might have to keep the demos to just a few or your back latch wont make it to Ces..

Can't wait to see what kind of damage you do with thoses at Ces...

Is it best to have the port on the drivers side to get high #'s. I have noticed on my current setup that i get higher #'s when the mic is placed on the drivers side.
