I didn't think about the subs that's a good point. Will I get some nicer mid bass too or is that too much to ask out of the 6.5 mids? Good point on the windows too.

Noob question: I've had my sundown comps for a couple months and they sound pretty good in my stock doors. I'm wondering what sound deadener will improve for me. I'm looking at the damplifier mainly beacause it's lighter, and the speaker tweaker kit. Compared to the stock doors, what difference will I notice by installing both of these? I don't have much rattling in the doors right now. Thanks

Noob question, how do you solder those if they're closed? Just put the solder in first? Just asking because I'll be doing the same with their 1/0 soon and I don't have a giant crimper.

For now I just have one set in the stock location (bottoms of the door. I know, not the best place) running passive off channels 1 and 2, and coaxials in the back off 3 and 4. I do have the tweets on the dash though. I don't have much to compare them too as they are my first real components but they do sound good and clean for where they are. Even as a noob I can tell they sound nicer than my buddy's truck and they have potential to sound even better. I wouldn't mind getting another set and making some glassed pods for the doors but I need to find some extra door panels first.

I have my sundown comps running with the crossover off a sax 100.4d and I have to say they sound great. Just wondering what they sound like active since I'm one of those people who can't leave things alone. I'd be using the crossovers on the amp, so does anyone have a recommendation where to set the crossovers? Or am I best off using a cc1. Any experience with how they sound active vs. passive would be great too.

Well I swapped amps and there was no more "distortion" so I'm gonna go ahead and assume its the amp. So now I'm wondering if sundown has a simple way to repair these and if they still give a 2 year warranty.

I'll try to upload I vid later. It's not horribly noticable but bad enough to not sound clean at certain frequencies.

I have my sa6.5cs comps and some Rockford coaxials running of a sax100.4d and for some reason I get some distortion/static that's mostly noticable in the tweeters. Its not being played loudly, just normal listening volume. Not sure how to describe it, but if you listen to the song otherside by rebelution or ten years gone by zeppelin, the beginning part sounds pretty distorted. Theyre good quality songs and its with all songs not just those, it's just easier to tell. Any ideas for a diagnosis? Maybe ground issue? Internal issue? Thanks

Is there a pretty significant difference in weight between damplifier and damplifier pro? I want to cover my doors in my Titan which are pretty big and not add extra weight if I don't need it. That's why I'm leaning towards damplifier. Any input?
