From some of the songs I have seen on the net, it looks like they slowed them down and tried to boost the bass which clipped it. Most songs that are just slowed are not clipped that I have seen anyway.

Not true, build a more efficient enclosure and 1k is more then enough. As far as the OP. Both are good and will get the job done. AQ's are cheaper so if cost is a concern.

Just because brand A does better then brand B doesn't make it better. Install is everything. Personally not a RD fan.
