The stuff is called "Styrene" and if it stinks than you can always add "Styrene Supressant." Make sure you use a little bit at a time since it can thin it quickly. I went to Mobile Dynamics Toronto Campus in '04.

I figured the problem out with the PS3. Its not the TV because I tested another PS3 and it worked perfectly. I also spoke to Sony this past Friday and they are sending me a prepaid shipping box to send my unit back. They are going to send me a new one once they receive mine. Hopefully the new one will be fine.

I just read this topic and I'd have to say that get quality over quantity. I've always been the type to get a lot of woofers and one amp. I've got 8- 15" low end JL Audio Subs with 1600w going to them. That's about 200w RMS to each and they pound and I was low on cash when it came to buying equipment. It took me a couple of years to buy everything piece by piece. The next build will definitely have fewer subs that are of good quality and good amps. I have to have over 5000w in my next build. Quality is better than quantity now that I think of it. There's a truck that has 4-15s Powerbass 3XL Subs in it and it just puts mine to shame. I know mine looks good and his looked like crap, but man did it ever bang. I need bang, so thats my next move.

Nothing here on our local news website.....? -
Over here a violation of the City Ordinance is a Misdemeanor and points when the violation takes place because of a vehicle, motorcyle or whatever that's drivable. I used to have a '96 Mustang GT with an H-Pipe, Flowmaster Mufflers and No Catalytic Coverters about 8 years ago and got a ticket for loud mufflers which was a violation of city ordinance in another city, but still cost me a lot in fines and had points on my record.

Well, the lawyer cost $500. If I didn't have the lawyer, I would of paid the ticket fines. I got a ticket for loud music which would of been about $200-300 according to the website and $115 for the TV in View(Obstruction of View). So I would of had to shell out about $415 for the ticket fines and $110 for the court fees and have points on my record. I'd rather not have any points. It would of been cheaper if I didn't get the lawyer, but would of had points on my driving record. On top of all that, who knows how the judge would of treated me if I didn't have an attorney. One more thing I forgot to mention was that Violating a City Ordinance here is a Misdemeanor.

Sorry to hear that about about your monther-in-law Steve. I know you're wife must be going through a lot now. My uncle's wife had breast cancer a couple of years ago and we supported her so she wouldn't be depressed all the time. She will be shocked and suprised when she finds out what you are doing for her. Its always a blessing to have someone that can care to give a hand and I would like to give out a hand in the donation department. I hope she feels better always try to be around her so she won't feel depressed.

I went to the DUB show a few weeks ago when it was here in Detroit and looked at the MTX Escalade with the 2 Jackhammers in it. I noticed that there were 5 alternators in it. One was factory 12-14 volts and the other 4 were 16v and they were all running on the Powermaster batteries. I think all the Amps for the subs were running on the 16v set up and they all had volt meters which were fluctuating between 16.4 and 16.7 when they had the subs playing and the factory at 14-14.4 volts under the hood. Is it possible to have 2 different electrical systems installed?

Thanks everyone and thanks Steve. I would of mentioned SMD, but all the info was taking right before I knew about this website. All in all, its almost been a year since I qualified for a feature. I really didn't think I was going to make it in the mag. This is to everyone on this site doing car audio or anything else. Never give up your dreams. I've been reading Car Audio and Electronics for over 13 years and hoping that one day that I can have only one pic of my installs in there and that would make me happy. Good Luck to everyone and hopefully we all can do it big one day. I'm long from it and this site has helped me a lot in areas that I was never familiar with. Give Steve Meade a round of applause for doing a great job on this site.

How many miles would my system cost or let alone everyone else? lol haha -
Its not that I'm jumping more hoops than I really need to. Its just that I would really like to know what the problem is. Most of us on this website like to get to the bottom of almost all the problems we come across especially when it comes to our stereo equipment. The PS3 was a gift and it can't be returned or exchanged so I'm stuck. It was bought several months ago and wasn't used up until a couple of weeks ago. Any other suggestions?

I did that already. I called Samsung and they linked the problem to Sony. I called Sony and they linked the problem to Samsung and said that the TV should have a firmware update to accept newer technologies that I can download via USB. Also, I was told to stick to a Sony Original Component Cable for now since HDMI technology is a newer technology and any other cables can void the PS3 warranty. They are trying to figure out what TVs that the PS3 is having problems with and trying to make firmware updates in the future. Most likely, if an HDMI cable works than keep using it unless you have problems just use the component cable that Sony offers and a Toslink cable for 5.1 sound if needed. One more thing that the rep told me was that Sony doesn't even offer an HDMI cable for its PS3 Accessories since its still in its infancy and only offers the component cable for HD gameplay and movie mode. He also mentioned that he can get in trouble for mentioning that they've been having HDMI problems themselves and the HDMI output was really meant for the future. In other words, they wanted to make it easier so every PS3 can have them when Sony makes the upgrades or whatever. I think its just a bunch of BS.
