This will help you with wiring the subs at 4ohms. -
remember, the voting for SOTM is for the actual AUDIO SYSTEM not the complete car.. lol.. its not the ride, its the system.. Steve would win it all.. but we dont want him in it! lol.. jk.. Thats a sweet ride!! I like the custom detailing you've done, just remember when voting its for the system, not the actual entire setup.. lol

hey thanks man!! will be looking for it!! =D Nismo, sorry bro, i dont want a smaller wiring size, lol.. thats for a 10g, i am using zaxfire's fuse holder/fuse until i have the chance to upgrade the wiring to 1/0 gauge. So zax's fuse holder will keep me happy till i have the time and expenses to upgrade! =D Thanks again zax! -

yea its actually more than i have right now, and i may be a bit before i rewire or have the time to rewire, so putting this in for now will do just fine! Heck, i no i was DUMB in the first place to not upgrade my wiring before upgrading my system.. lol.. it was only a 40amp fuse.. lol its a bit embarassing but i guess i shouldnt worry about it since you'd rather help me than laugh at me.. lol.. im sure we all been down da road a few times.. eh, THANKS BRO! -

lol... you WOULd.. thats the funny part.. lol.. yea i know you told me, i wasnt runnin it too hard either but.. eh.. happens.. it'll all be much better the next time around anyway.. lol.. -
kinda BLOWS!! My fuse holder melted on me.. i guess too much power was going to it and the fuse didnt pop and something got moved around or something and the metal parts inside the fuse holder touched and it started smoking.. the fuse holder is now NOT usable.. lol.. it was BOUND TO HAPPEN.. i was running 8 gauge wire from my old sony system which was fine until i upgraded it all and hadn't had the money for new wiring.. I'm getting some new wiring but just gotta buy new fuse and fuse holder now.. lol.. steppin on the 100amp fuse/block and eventually extra battery.. but just kinda blows.. i have no bass till i get the money for it...

AlpineGuy87 replied to AlpineGuy87's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
WOW!!! I havnt seen my own topic and quite frankly.. not sure if i want to.. lol. thanks alpine for disturbing my uh thread.. lol.. BACK TO TOPIC PLEASE!!! so... MORE or LESS bass can be produced by the direction of the sub in the box?? Would it depend on the box or?? ThANKS... -
At first I tried matching amp with subs, cuz i had the cheezy Xplodes, lol.. and it was recommended that you power em with a sony amp.. BAD CHOICE!! i bridged that amp and it still didnt put that thang out to its potential.. lol. owell.. I now know, you get what powers it!!

Could I Use This Battery?
AlpineGuy87 replied to AlpineGuy87's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Thanks for the feedback, by the way, try to move back to battery talk not comp talk.. lol.. I HIGHLY doubt I would EVER use a regular car battery, I just thought about it one day and thought I'd ask, I know others may have the same question.. What are the output and costs of the different batteries? Whats the suggested Battery for me..? (2 Alpine Type R's, and soon: 1 or 2 gauge power wire, Hifonics Brutus Amp) -
I know dynomat is great for absorbing the rattle in a trunk... is there anything else that would be great also?? Dyno is so expensive if you need a lot of it, personally i'd rather have the rattle then spend the money.. so i was just wondering if anyone knew of an alternative to that... Like is there a type of mixture that i could spread over the trunk lid, like a type or sealant or a cocking mixture of some sort..? Only think i could think of was a rubbery cocking mixture or something..? ANY IDEAS? THOUGHTS?
