  5. t1's put your money towards power upgrades and play with your subs a while. When I was starting out (don't know how long you've been installing) I had one spl160 (soundstream oversized 15" from ten yrs ago) and built 5 different (no exageration) for it and learned alot about making a sub sound good. Have fun and after alot of experimenting upgrade. I know it helped me learn alot about what works and what doesn't. just my .02
  6. yeah, but it was like 40 to nothing they had to let him score
  7. 1) i won't answer for Meade 2) again won't answer for Meade3) won't answer for Meade, but if you use resin by itslef it can crack and is brittle4) cheapest place to find fiberglass is at a boat parts supply store
  8. shocking. your drawing quite a bit of power off that alternator too, aren't you. I couldn't imagine bumping your big ass system daily with only a 90 amp alternator. no diss I'm just shocked
  9. matters on budget. Also is that inlcuding displacement of subs port and bracing?
  10. second battery should do yaa fine then. How many amps will your system draw
  11. have to go good luck. last advice solder/heat shrink/ lot's of tape
  12. since it's under the car it could get snagged at ripped off, especillay with teh size of most 0/1 gauge fuse holders. Do you have room under there to get the fuse holder out of the way
  13. that's quite the delemma . especially being under the vehicle. thinking.....
  14. if he's sporting a 60 -90 amp alternator upgrading that will do more for him then the second battery

  18. If you notice the part of the video with the first guy, the guy outside Steve's window, you can see his hair and shirt move like it's windy everytime the bass hits.... :oYou should get an emmy
  19. congrats :^
  20. One more thing, if you have access to a router try rounding the port corners and the port ends
  21. no prob. good luck building. make sure to put pics of work
  22. you want the two lenghts to equal 21"
  23. you add the 16.25 to 4.75 = 21" long port
  24. internally your box is only 19.25" deep so the yellow area would be 4 x 13.5 x 16.25. the red area would be 2 x 13.5 x 4.75.
  25. Okay so you will have roughly 4.170 ft3 after sub and port displacement. I would suggest doubling all your walls by adding a 3/4" mdf to all walls externally if you have room. If you don't have room you'll need to shrink the internal dimensions, but assuming you do we end up with 4.17ft3. In Meade's box you have two square ports so to do two sqaure ports and tune to 38 hz they will be 2 x 13.5 x 21.
