The d5000 are stable at 1ohm by orion but you can play then at .5 without worrying as long as you don't have low voltage. The amp is not 2 amps strapped though. Mine have ran .5 with no problem at all

dont worry bro i did the same thing running my subs at .25 ohms. My system slammed but my amp kept cutting out. dc audio sent me a wiring diagram for running dual 1 ohm subs at a safe 1 ohm load

yeah, i going to wire them at 1 ohm tomorrow and see if its a significant difference in output... but if it is ill just go back to .25... Its worked strong so far... ill just have to watch my voltage.
