Nyaim Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 In my car i have 2 12" 1400watt peak Pioneer Subs running on a Hifonics 1000RMS Monoblock 2 6x9 460watt Peak 5way Mids and 2 6.5" 180watt midds running on Hifonics 100.4 800RMS 4 channel amp A 3 way Kicker KX3 crossover and a Audio Control Epicenter Does my battery have enough power to push this or will i need to get a capacitor? or a bigger battery? pumpfinder Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 I'm not sure what is available there, but what I can tell you is that the battery isn't the only thing running your amps. Yes your battery is one, other then the Big 3, of the first electrical upgrades people do, you may also want to look into a HO alternator. Depending on the size of your stock alternator, most are like 90-110 amps, you should be fine with an upgraded battery upfront and the Big 3. Stay away from capacitors because they but more strain on your alternator. Elrey7698 Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Buy some 0 gauge wire and do the big 3(look it up) u can have a kinetik 2400w shipped to u for about 500 bucks...it's ur cheapest option because a capacitor will only ruin your fuse box and electrical system..
