redbaron80
So I wake up to a gushing sound coming from the garage/water heater area and the water pipe inside the wall had burst and water was gushing out of the wall. Not a good way to start the day. Edited February 9, 2011 by redbaron80 Quote Official Scores at the Dash. and YES. Not a good way to start the day. Man i know the feeling. We have a finished/carpeted basement, I walked down there in socks and all the sudden i'm stepping in a puddle... Rip up the carpet and the floor is covered...pull off some drywall and theres water SHEETING down the wall, we ended up getting like 2 inches deep before we found where it was coming from... redbaron80
Well the handy man ( family friend ) came by and got it all fixed. Had to cut out some old galvanized pipes and replace with copper pipes, although the hole in the wall is not that pretty. Water was in the garage on the floor, so we were lucky if did not damage too much. Damage was less than $500 so home owners insurance was not needed. Quote Official Scores at the Dash. and YES. osamio
Yea man we had the same problem, I guess whenever you have galvanized it starts to corrode other plumbing. I had no idea. Our house was built with the wrong type of tubing on the hot water heater. We just had it all replaced.
