zaxfire69 Posted September 13, 2007 Report Share Posted September 13, 2007 David next time you guys check into the hospital, if your wife is dilating, but it is taking along time, ask your doctor to give her Pitocin. It is administered through an IV pump to speed up the birthing process. It is administered to increase the strength or duration of contractions. Unless she is doing this the old fashioned way and having a natural child birth, <No epidural...Lord I hope not...My wife was given Pitocin and in a matter of hours out popped the baby.. David Posted September 13, 2007 Author Report Share Posted September 13, 2007 the doc said no to pitocin he only uses it if he absolutly has too, we allready asked, no, no el naturale for us, she will have an EPI, pretty sure it will happen sometime today or nite.
