TeddyG
Hi I have a DC lvl 4 XL 15 inch dual 1 ohm. Is there a way to some how add resitance to the sub so that is dual 2 ohm instead of dual 1. (Like add 1 ohm to each voice coil)
hdorre
Just a recone. You can make a box that gives you plenty impedance rise, but the nominal impedance wouldn't change. Trâgîk
Just a recone. You can make a box that gives you plenty impedance rise, but the nominal impedance wouldn't change. How are you able to know if you box will have alot of rise or not? I know that testing will tell for sure but is say a big box gonna have high rise or vise versa? -----SELLING EVERYTHING---- 2 DC sound labs 3.5k's (still avail) 2 HDC312A D1's (still avail) 5 XS Power Batteries (1 d3400 and 1 d1200 left) 4 runs of knukoncepz 0 gauge (have all the wire still) DC power 270XP alt (sold) RF T1 6.5 components (both sold) Powerbass XAX 4160 (still avail) Custom built box 4.75^3 tuned 34hz (still avail)

What the box is tuned to? Im just curious because im building my box and fiberglassed the inside so its sealed amd smooth as hell and also braced it real nice and all that, does that prevent box rise or not affect it really? -----SELLING EVERYTHING---- 2 DC sound labs 3.5k's (still avail) 2 HDC312A D1's (still avail) 5 XS Power Batteries (1 d3400 and 1 d1200 left) 4 runs of knukoncepz 0 gauge (have all the wire still) DC power 270XP alt (sold) RF T1 6.5 components (both sold) Powerbass XAX 4160 (still avail) Custom built box 4.75^3 tuned 34hz (still avail)
Superjay
put it on an LMS...or look at the specs. the box will resonate at one frequency and the sub at another.
