Ford302Redneck
Today I got to thinking about SQL. And how people don't like people to use this, as they think it doesn't describe exactly what they are looking for. Yet I just rethought the idea and I've decided that, yes it came describe exactly what people are looking for. Let me break it down. SQL means Sound Quality Loud. As mostly a sound quality is rather quite. So now your saying you can't have true sound quality loud. So yeah that doesn't make any sense. But I'm thinking, why can't you? I want good SQ, but I think listening to music a average/moderate levels are boring so why can't I have the best of both worlds? At normal listening level, have a great front stage, with good imaging. And then when I'm in the mood, able to have it at very loud levels, where those key features on SQ doesn't matter. I just think SQL is exactly what I want. Good SQ to reasonable levels, yet loud when I turn the volume knob up. Just my thoughts. Nobody has to agree. I just figured I'd share this. hdorre
I agree 100%. "I just think SQL is exactly what I want. Good SQ to reasonable levels, yet loud when I turn the volume knob up." This is the type of system I want too. Hopefully in about 15 years. It seems so long away :/ On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
ryderonthestorm
I would absolutely agree with this. I would never want a setup that is just loud and sounds like shit, that just makes no sense for a daily driver anyway. 1991 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series DC Power 270 Amp Alt Big 3 Kicker/KnuKonceptz 0 Gauge Power wire XS Power D6500 XS Power D3100 Pioneer Headunit JBL Mids and Highs Rockford Fosgate 400.4 3 Sundown Audio SA-10's wired @ .67 ohms American Bass 150.

I see many posts from n00bs claiming they want am SQ system, but only want one set of mids up front. Ford302Redneck
In my opinion the average person doesn't really know what SQ is but they understand loud and what makes my ears ring I semi agree to this. But you have people say, "oh I was surprised on how good the SQ was from my -insert SPL sub here" Its like they think it will sound like a 5 dollar pyle driver from the flea market. Sure all quality subs SPL or not should sound quiet decent if they are in a box that designed to play the bass bandwidth. Its the fact people have no idea what a SQ geared sub install is suppose to sound like.

Most noobs doesn't want distortion, not SQ.

zachfowler222
but honestly if you have heard a TRUE SQ car i dont think many if any car on this site will make the cut..... honestly most true SQ people hear things in music the average bass head wouldn't even noticed....... in true sq cars they spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on mids, focal and rainbows dont cut it to them they treat focal like it is just anther speaker and like its nothing. of course all of us want "our version of SQ" and dont want distortion or anything like that at higher volumes. but i dont think most of our budgets really can get a true sq set up also i second what matt said I SCAM PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY... AVOID ME LIKE I AM AN AIDS INFECTED RETARD...
Ford302Redneck
SQL means Sound Quality League call your stuff CnL (Clean and Loud)done and done No, I don't want CnL. Maybe you misunderstood I want more SQ geared than just something that doesn't distort. I want a good staging and imaging. Not perfect, but more than just normal component set that is placed anywhere it looks good. But I want it able to be at the volume level I like, and use to.
