And I wouldn't recommend Walmart to test the battery either. It's gonna have to be a shop that can do a battery draw/load test on them. They can determine if your battery has a bad cell or if it's on the verge of taking a dump.

Well the batts from Walmart and I have warrantee on it so I can get it replaced for free.

Have the batt tested at a shop that can test it do not go to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts. Secondly I would test voltage with a dmm with the system playing to see if it really falls off.

I thought you were being sarcastic but if you're serious no go to a place that does what haters said you need somewhere that does a draw/load test. that gave me a good laugh though.

Naa man im very serious! Haha I'm getting pissed off! This things Sooo annoying! When I try to show off it ain't loud! And when I was driving in the highway it was sounding beautiful and perfect! Loved it! Then I got off and on residential roads it wasn't as loud as the highway. You could feel the loudness in ur hair and body. It felt great! Then it went down and sounded like crap..

Dmm is the Digital Multimeter/volt meter. I'd say check both batteries just to see what each one falls to.

Set it to DC and make sure you're reading over 12v's

Your issue may be just that. Your H/O alt is only producing its max over a certain RPM so if you're not doing that RPM in a residential because you're going slower then your power will suffer. I would swap those walmart batts for something made for your application but before you do that test them with a dmm and see how bad voltage drops with the car off, then on and then on with you revving 1800 or better.

I would test each one and then test at the amp with the tests I mentioned above. Post your results here and we can get to the bottom of this.

HEY!! i just got my damn DC Power alt not even a month ago! come on man.... i need someone to hook me up with a dual alt bracket, and cheap. cuz i aint payin $300 for the bracket. i would rather get a bigger alt with that money. and you guys dont think the optima is any good??? come on guys. work with me here. im low low on cash. i gotta work with what i got. or with cheap stuff. i was saving up for the optima thnkin it was a good batt for this stuff. now u guys tellin me its not and spend more..?? what do i do?!?
