my 08 malibu ltz wont crank up

Recommended Posts

Did u run wires, or cut anything, looks like either you chaffed some wire or an ign isnt coming on.

If it is an ign that will explain the no crank.

Accy, second accy, second ign and starter are all the same wire.

Makesure all the stock grounds are hooked up.

Double check the main fuses under yhe hood.

They will labeled, ign..etc

Double check you hooked up the cable that goes straghtto the starter.

It will be a 6awg wire,pos.

Now triple check it.lol

yeah its connected,i checked like 5xs

and i cant miss it because its bridged to the big terminal

so once that one is hooked in,it connects the started right away

and i already connected the positive and negative together

it didnt do anything

damn i'll keep trying

Service ESC is the Electronic Stability Control, idk why that would not let it start.

My mom has a '10 LTZ and hasnt had a problem with hers, sucks that you're having an issue.

With the battery unhooked, try and crank the car a couple times to get any remaining charge left in the system out.

You might also want to try and call a GM Dealership and see if they can talk you thru it over the phone...some dealerships are nice like that.

yeah but the local chevy dealer is closed

i already called and there the ones i'm planning on taking my car to.

they're like 1/2 a mile away from my house lol

I'd try what speedball1978 suggested.

I own a 2001 Impala LS and it's got some stupid things you gotta do with the gas pedal and the headlight switch to reset some messages, might work for your LTZ.

First System

2002 Impala LS 3.8L V6, 128,365k miles.

Alternator: DC Power 190Amp H/O Alternator

Headunit: Kenwood KDC-BT945U.

Speakers: MBQuart 6.5" Comps, 6x9 3-way.

Amplifer: Eclipse 3322 on front 6.5 components, and a Infinity Kappa One @ 2ohm- 800w

Subwoofers: 2 REAudio SRX12D2 wired to 2 ohm.

Box: 3.1cuft box tuned to 33hz. sealed off to cabin

Big 3- done with all Knukonceptz KCA 0 gauge.

Don't drop below 14.1v at full tilt. :)

i have the same car but a 09 model, i had my battery out for 2 days as well, got the same thing, turn the key to the on position and press the gas pedal 5 times and hold it down that's what i did to reset the ecu

thanks!

ill see if that works :drinks:

could be when i was modifying the stock plastic,

it was worthless and i regret it

cus the d3100 doesnt even fit with me modifying the plastic lol

i guess things have to happen to teach me a lesson.i learned :peepwall:

maybe your passlock security system came on. if you turn the key to on position, and wait for ten minutes. if this is the problem the security light will come on, and when it's reset it will go off. when the light goes off turn the car off, and then try starting
