Soundstorm Lab Amps

I have a SSL EV3000D amplidier pushing 2 Kicker CVX 12's. I was told either buy another and put one on each sub or get a better amp. Is this amp really that bad?

I have the subs wired at one ohm but what these specs say are max power.

yeah soundstorm amps are not a really good amps not sure what they put out power wise realistically you would have to clamp it but its not worth it just use it for now and start saving up your money for a better amp to run on your kicker subs

forget those numbers completely

SSL amps are not the best out there... my brother has one and it has treated him great and absolutely slams his L7 15. But i have dealt with there amps also, ill sugar coat it and say that it was a bad experience.

you need an amp that does 1500 rms (at the ohm load your running your subs). If you need decent bugdet amps, look into hifonics (not the HFi line) or soundstream. Theres also Audioque and there 1200D, etc.

Hmm...trying to think of the nicest way of saying this. Soundstorm amps are not good whatsoever. Every time I've dealt with one I have not enjoyed the experience and was very disappointed by its performance.
