lunchbox.inc
Very nice - is blinn333 your account on youtube? Because i'm subscribed to it and got this video yesterday and then see the build today! no sorry that account actually belongs to "Bobo333" on here, as he's a mate, also you'll find that "RAD" is th guy sitting in my window, another member on here... BUT i have my youtube account HERE, you'll find PLENTY of vids of both this and my old corona wagon groundpounder/flex machine lol as well as any other car's i choose to video lol Damn those amps are huge!! definitely not small amps! and they weigh a tonne too, wasn't fun mounting that top one, took 3 of us to do it, for their size you'd really want them to put out more than 6kw each, but it's a rather old design, and when you get the stupidly cheap, you really can't complain... I would be concerned with the top woofers unloading by being at the ports i was concerned about that too, but so far there hasn't been any sign of unloading, unfortunately with the space restraints there wasn't much other options, tho if anyone can think of something to help prevent any future unloading i'm all ears.... thanks for the replies guys!! Jquin77
I'm sure you know more than I do but wouldn't you do higher numbers if you used a bigger port on each box. Maybe move the top sub closer to the back if the box and put a forward facing port at the top of the box..

lunchbox.inc
man i love this build!! really makes me wanna build my terdcell up and break some glass! good luck with SOTM bro you definitely have a contender! thanks man! means alot that you'd comment on my build!! having a chance at SOTM would be GREAT, but i'm just happy getting pics up of the build and showing people what we're doing out here!! I'm sure you know more than I do but wouldn't you do higher numbers if you used a bigger port on each box. Maybe move the top sub closer to the back if the box and put a forward facing port at the top of the box.. yes and no, the aim of the build was for low end extension, tuning enclosure to low would limit the top end response, so the only option was to run limited rear chamber port area for extra control under tuning, as it is tho, the the rear chamber port area is equal to 2x 4" aero ports per woofer... so it's not tiny, but yes more port area would make for more loudz, but less control down low... badass build!! thanks man!! i'm loving the support this is getting so far!! well i'm in the middle of writing up some more updates, so they should be posted up soon!! lunchbox.inc
ok, so i figured i'd post up a little mod that a mate did to the headunit in the car, i needed something that was easy to have outside the car, without having the buky, wire laden headunit hand held outside the car, while at the same time it had to be more practical the using the remote thru the window, so we came up with this! stripping everything down and just by chance he happened to have a spare face for an older model just sitting around.... the original clips still mount strait back on without the face in place all that was needed from the spare face was the 12 pin connecter so off it came! some grooves were cut for the wiring... and now for the umbilical cord, he used an old 26wire printer cable, the colors were in pairs so 2 cables per pin! does some VERY neat work, especially for his 1st attempt! and the the back of the face all mounted up working like a charm! and now for a dummy face for the unit
lunchbox.inc
and then we blacked out the face on the dummy unit, and it's all perfect!! haven't had a single issue with it yet, and it's VERY usable! i'm LOVING this mod! once we get more into the "preetying things up" stage, the dash is getting a full working over with fiberglass, the original deck is getting hidden away, with only the face visible in a build out where the guages used to be, it will be removable from this mount so i can run the headunit outside the car, but i thought you guys might be interested in this!
