4 RF 15" P2 vs. 2 RF 15" P3

Recommended Posts

Ok, since you really do seem to need help. I'll help you. If I were you, I would get the 4 15's, but build a

ported wall for them.

Okay but I don't want a wall. It's a full size truck and not seeing out my back window sucks. I was thinking a box about half way up my window so I can still use it. Not sure if they would have enough airspace. Haven't measured yet, but 4 15" subs the biggest where I live. So thought I would ask here for some ideas

And please explain how your alpine amp couldn't "handle" your kickers? What load did you have them wired to?

Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi.

Audio: Two 10" Alpine Type R's ( 1000rms models )

Hifonics BRZ 2400.1D @ .5 ohm

Two Kinetic 1400 batteries ( soon to have XS power under hood )

Tsunami 1/0 Awg wire throughout truck.

Stock Infinity 7 speaker system ( Junk ) soon to be replaced, probably all Alpine.

Exterior: 17"Dick cepek rims with 33" Toyo MT tires

Bushwacker fender flares

Magnaflow true duel exhaust

LED tail lights with Projector headlights

Plasti-dip fun coming soon!

Sorry about that wierd reply I'm on an iPhone. But anyway I want a half wall? Lol I still want some of my window. And the p2s are 250rms each at 2 ohms so 4 would be powered nicely with my amp imo

Why does it matter if alpine's aren't 1 ohm stable? You would buy the subs so that you can wire the coils to a 2 ohm load. And if he were to get the 4 15's In a sealed box, he would have to wall it anyway.

No way in hell you can fit 4 15's without walling. Whether it be sealed or ported.

Damn you sure I couldn't fit them without a wall? I was going to build a box 5 ft wide and 3 ft tall ( very rough ) which seems enough airspace for all 4 and I have my backwindow still

I'm honestly not good with box designs. And I'm sick. So me trying to calculate airspace right now isn't a good idea. Lol

Lmao yeah, well from research ported box for 4 p2's want around 12-13 cubic feet. So it seems like I would have the space without a wall.. And 4 15's have that wow factor I want from people lol

Well either way I only have 1000 rms to work with. I can't afford to drop another alternator in, new amps, etc.
