If I were you, I would get the 4 15's, but build a ported wall for them. Okay but I don't want a wall. It's a full size truck and not seeing out my back window sucks. I was thinking a box about half way up my window so I can still use it. Not sure if they would have enough airspace. Haven't measured yet, but 4 15" subs the biggest where I live. So thought I would ask here for some ideas And please explain how your alpine amp couldn't "handle" your kickers? What load did you have them wired to? Driving my 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 MEGA cab with the 5.7 hemi. C-Fizzy Posted March 3, 2011 Report Share Posted March 3, 2011 Why does it matter if alpine's aren't 1 ohm stable? You would buy the subs so that you can wire the coils to a 2 ohm load. And if he were to get the 4 15's In a sealed box, he would have to wall it anyway. No way in hell you can fit 4 15's without walling.
