Ninja_v1.0
ive heard that carbon aint easy to work with nor is it cheap good luck You sir are correct, I'm wondering where he is going to get an autoclave from in order to seat the carbon fiber to what hes planning on making? Those are not cheap either I have the same car and let me know if any of these pictures look familiar? Should be interesting none the less, I have some other things that i plan on doing with carbon fiber as well , curious to see what you are doing with yours When your at the top everyone is coming for you, friends, family, haters and even those who don't know you.. my advice.. tdc3187
I am not using pre-preg. The basic lay-up technique doesn't require these machines, the end result isn't as nice, but can still look really nice if you apply tons of patience and buffing. No progress today, it is raining. I guess i'll clean up the garage a little for tomorrow's hopefull progress. tdc3187
So I thought for a while about the strength of this little plywood. With the amount of weight that's going back there I decided to throw a layer of 1/2" MDF in there too. Sorry it's really dark, but it fit nice and snug put the plywood back on top, it will get glued, screwed, and wrapped in vinyl. also got a little further on the box. the new surprise might be here tomorrow.
